Oh Dear

So many names being thrown around about who we're signing and I've never heard of most of them, not sure whether to be excited or confused

Eric.
That would depend on the individual. Some don't care one way or the other, so expend very little.
Some are uber passionate, therefore give their all, even at the expense of personal relationships.
And some like me, are passionate but can't, for whatever reason give as much as others, but want the very best for the club. Owners, managers, coaches and players, give a certain amount whilst involved, but it's ultimately the fans who give everything they can, unreservedly, and for life.

Cellino's ruffling a few feathers. That's good. The gravy train that is Leeds United had to end. Too much baggage, successive regimes wanting success purely for financial reasons.

I don't doubt Cellino is here to make a penny or two but he's also passionate about the football. I suspect he'll be working on severing the ties with GFH & Enterprise to give himself as much control as possible.

It's the non-footballing departments and activities that have contributed to the financial meltdown. They are bound to be feeling uncomfortable. I've worked with the Commercial department under Bates, thought they were selling Leeds United short in my opinion which surprised me. I work with the current sponsors now and the less said about that the better.....

Changes were long overdue. The fact that they all seem to be happening at once is difficult for all to deal with but the intended result will get Leeds United back on track more quickly.

It may be confusing but its better than being linked with buying a new lawnmower or new big electronic screen for ER

I remember when that's exactly all we had to look forward to!

Pro - WSAIWB - 'Whoever Is The Manager' Out!!

Your second paragraph I agree with totally, and I have no problem with him using a trusted outlet for his comments.

As for your former paragraph, so be it some folk aren't happy, my point is the impression I get on here is the worm is turning. I am not the only one to see it either. We had folk who three months ago were dead set against Cellino and his changes, they appear now to be softening in their approach. This in my mind is because they are actually seeing what is happening.

That is the vocal minority of which I speak, not folk that you know who I don't. I know people who are wary of Cellino and equally I know of people who embrace the changes he is bringing in.

I just happen to fall in the latter camp. That is my choice, but as Bywater White says himself I haven't got a clue how it is going to pan out. I just feel it is going to be better than we've had for years, and a darn sight more entertaining.

I merely suggested to Bywater White that I found his comment strange. I said this because we have had a fair amount of open hostility on these pages towards Massimo Cellino and I know see comments like his which looks to me to be more open minded. I also think it is welcome.

I also bring this forward as the majority of the folk that I consider to hold some of the views that I have, have been rather disparagingly called a 'head in the sand mob' of late. Or were you referring to other people in that comment Bywater White. Because that's where I find your comment strange, because you now appear to be saying what we've said for months.

Just my opinion of course.

The issue with him using that media outlet is it can, and some will argue has, become Cellino's version of Bates' Yorkshire Radio.

I'm happy for Cellino to be in, but I can see that were we a 'normal' club he would be on the low end of the owners I'd prefer, however he is ideal for this situation.

Pro, have no problem with a journalist having a good connection with Cellino, but when journalist is used to release info that isn't officially confirmed by the club then it's a concern.

Pro...

No problem with that. Reasoned response

Jonty

Yet you're happy to accept what others put on Twitter when that isn't officially confirmed by the club...?

In an ideal world we should receive everything through the official source, in this case Leeds United. But when you stoke the fire of social media and blaze the stuff you read on there as facts you are causing more of a concern.

I have said numerous times that opinions change when circumstances change. There is still a long way to go for me to trust him completely, but, things needed doing, and hard decisions had to be made. It's not yet totally clear how the clubs finances stand, but money is now being spent. Signings were confirmed just after the sale of McCormack was, so there is now money there. I cannot sit back with a wry smile, thinking the jobs a good en, because I have no idea how any of this will pan out. Only time will tell.

Bywater White

Have I said the job is done...?

Have I said I have a wry smile because all is rosy...?

I think you and I are now more aligned than before, that's all.
