Are Southampton going to have a team next season?
They have sold 2 more players today, Calum Chambers & Lovren.
So that's
Lovren
Chambers
Lambert
Shaw
Llalana
Osvaldo (as good as gone)
They are getting good money for them but they need to get a lot of replacements.
Are Southampton going to have a team next..

Cortese was the guy driving their ambitions, this new lady seems to have accepted that you do not need to spend a fortune to be a stable mid-table club.

I think that is a big risk, I'm sure Wigan thought the same.

Its just a small squad. They may just want to start re-building. In that process you must be able to sell players before you start buying, just so you know what you've got to spend. Keoman will sign, but he will want shut of everyone that he doesn't want and can get big money for.

This is what happens when you put a woman in charge of a football team
In all seriousness, I don't think Katharina Liebherr cares whether Southampton finish top half or not. She's the reason Cortese left and he was the reason Markus Liebherr bought Southampton in the first place. The club may become a rudderless ship with her at the helm

Proves how much money plays a huge part in football. How players are sold, smaller squads are formed and players under perform when a club's selling players/have a bit of trouble with money. But then again, its the players on the pitch that do the real job, not the money in the bank.

I think other than Lambert, every sale has been justified.
