Stretty,
What in your opinion made Keane a far better midfielder than Souness?
..............
He will now be in the middle of looking at youtube clips of Souness, so it may be a while.
I will say this, Keano wasn't as good in the last third of the field as Souness.

Well thank god weve established that early.
As for other guy. I have heard souness described as an iron fist in a velvet glove.
Keane for me is the best cm I havce seen if nothing else for his leadership qualities, that guy was mike tyson as well, he beat opponents mentally before the game and he had no quit.
The guy was a monster, and he was also a bloody good player to boot.
shame people in our fan base, not vc hes not a utd fan, seem to think hes bitter just because hes honest about the clubs flaws and has always spoken his mind.
Robbo licks the corporate shaft and this is why people say he is better tbh.

I'm not digging Keane out neither. He was a fantastic player, a key component of some of your best sides. A great leader as well.
I'd agree with your second comment.
I just want to know the thinking. Babyen had him only better than Lambert in that list & for Stretty he didn't even make it.
The way you yourself said earlier that Robbo is criminally underrated by some of your younger support I think along the same lines.

Stretty,
I prefer Renoir with a Razor Blade when referring to Souey

It is the way fans generally are.
They tend to pick the current falvour of the month and can't see beyond that.
It is crystall clear Stretty is too young to have seen Robson or Souness week in week out, otherwise he wouldn't make such bold and ignorant statements.

The Mike Tyson analogy is a bit curious, given that his major weakness was his mentality and propensity for losing his head quite easily.
Joe Frazier or Ali would have been a better analogy.
As much as I love Keane - we could really do with him now - I can't put him at the top of the list. On talent alone, Scholes easily.
Interesting list though.

this is a good example of why Robbo was a better footballer than Keano.
Keano simply couldn't have done this..
