I don't quite agree hoons....Cohen is the best left back we have, Lansbury might leave, and i think Mancienne needs to stay at centre back, cause from what i saw yesterday, he looked solid there!
We need to play to our strengths, not square pegs in round holes.....Halford anyone????

Maybe. But with us actually having some wingers now, do we want a LB who can actually defend (Fox) or a LB who can bomb forward at any given chance and offer us more attacking intent (Cohen). I think with our current set up, I'd go with Fox, possibly?
And assuming Lansbury stays (please!!!!!), then between him, Cohen and Vaughan, hopefully we have the CDM position covered ... esp with Mancienne who could drop forward with either Wilson or Lascelles covering in CD.
A lot of if's I know. I just think we're lacking players who can naturally fit into the AM role. Lansbury and Burke aren't best suited there; Pato potentially is but I wouldn't put my entire faith in him if Reid was out for any length of time.
My thoughts anyhow ...

Like that line up Rev. Allows Reid to pull the strings but if a team tries to stop him then Vaughan and Lansbury take over. When Forest fans say we have the best squad in the division I cringe because it feels very short sighted but if our midfield are fit we are without doubt a top 6 side at least.

Yeah it all comes down to the injuries doesn't it? I'd be happy with Fox at LB and Cohen in DM if he's along side Vaughan. For me, Vaughan runs the show. I know Reid creates the goals but Vaughan is the link between defence, midfield and attack. He can beat a man, play the killer pass and score goals. But if he's going to be in and out of the team then we need Cohen to cover. Which to be fair is a good replacement. I love Cohen but he won't influence the game like Vaughan will.

Although it'd be nice to sign Bamford I doubt Chelsea want him warming someone's bench.
