Some of you here have had your share of fun teasing Arsenal for the Fab saga, and then really laid it on us when he finally went to Barca.
Excuse me...exactly how is the current Modric saga different from what we went thorugh with Fab?? The only difference I know of is Fab never went on strike and never refused to give all to his club. Fab was at least professional through it all, and maintained excellent relationships with his manager and team owner.
Modric's behavior is inexcusable...so all of you Fab saga wums owe us at Arsenal an apology for the pot calling the kettle black. And the same good luck you saracastically wished on us for trying to have a good season without Fab..without Modric, you are just as weakened. He was your heart and soul last year, and not having him for the Man U match today is huge.

I've only seen bits of him here and there, but am I right that so far, Gervinho looks to be a truly awful player? Everything I've seen is just him losing the ball/bad positioning/looking like Bambi on ice....
I'm sure he's better than what little I've seen of him, but considering Spurs were rumoured to be after him at one point, I can't help feel that we've dodged a bullet there.
rhackw, the article is kind of pointless because you'll struggle to find many Spurs fans who will attempt to justify ratboys behaviour.

There are similarities, however most of the rumours about Modric I believe have been instigated from outside of the Club. There is no evidence that Modric has ever refused to play for Spurs, just like the wages offered to him by Chelsea these things just appear. I wonder how?
If indeed he has refused to play, I would back Levy if he decided to fine him 2 weeks (the maximum) wages every time he refused to play for the Club, and if necessary keep him training with the youth team for the whole of the season. Someone has to stand up to people like Abramovich, who I believe has been an awful influence on the PL.

Exactly what i've been saying. We could, in effect, keep taking his wages back in the form of fines & make him play with the youth team & he'll still have a sell on value of £30m in a years time.

HR has stated on Sky today he will play Modric on Thursday & wants him to play V Man City on Sunday.
He has categorically denied Modric has refused to play for Spurs, he said he is carrying a niggly thigh strain but also his head is not right over the transfer saga.

If he plays on Thursday, it means he is ineligible for the CL.............
