10 signings...still have no wingers.

Exactly the same problem as we've had the last two seasons. We've got no pace or creativity out wide. I actually feel sorry for the midfield and strikers, as they're getting all the criticism, but when we get the ball into the final third, we have no one to take it past a player and cross it.

We need some quality attacking midfielders otherwise we're going to really struggle this season.

Peak,

I fear that MC will waiting until November time to get rid of hockaday- will be too late by then! I fully expect us to
Avoid relation and play off places comfortably this season... Seasons over before it's begun for me

Sorry boys don't agree about DH but will stand corrected if I'm wrong.

Players don't need to break their back for him, he is just the coach. As Massimo said henwants players who play for the club and fans.

Doesn't matter who's going to be in charge of the first team, they won't be their players, they are the owners players and who will come want to come in and achieve the same results as the the Hock is destined to?

Hired-failed-sacked

Repeat.

Exactly how he did it in Italy, who knows hey, maybe it will all come together??

Can't beat a bit of trial and error.

Hockaday won't last, but he needs some attacking players to work with otherwise he won't stand a chance.

Has made some poor decisions already though - the formations and tonight it seemed like he'd only started Matt Smith because he signed a new contract.

Was impressed with Austin.

I think Ajose looks decent to be honest LIW, and he's supposed to be a striker mainly not a winger.

So what your saying is, doesn't matter who the coach is, the players will play well because they want to play for the club

Complete and utter bolloxs

The players have to believe in the coach, or you won't get the best from the players.

Maybe we don't have wingers cos Doc Hoc didn't play any.

We need 2 wing strikers, wingers that can become strikers when ball is on opposite side of field.

If he's going to play Smith, he needs wingers so Smith can have a crack at the high crosses.

Hoc brought Smith off and Ajose on, personally, I would'ave played both as Ajose works down the wing big mistake in my opinion.

Bellusci sat on bench, Bendicic (midfielder) doesn't even make the bench. 18 yr old full of beans, speed, enthusiasm, motivation and with a point to prove.

I think we're missing Berardi.

I might be wrong, but I'm beginning to think, even this early, that Hoc doesn't like playing too many Italians at one time, if it's the case, he's hindering the team.

It's a team that is work in progress, players need to gel and learn about each other.

Strikers need better service from midfield.

I reckon Pearce, Austin and Murphy should be replaced with better and more enthused players, they're weak links in their area positions.

We need to get the players to shoot for goal from all angles from edge of box; walking ball into the net is old hat, football is slowly turning back around.

Only 3rd league game, other teams lost too, Brighton won their 3rd match, lost the first two.

Getting angry and belittling this early isn't going to achieve anything.

Agree that the system Hock employed was poor and didn't seem well thought out. Smith needs crosses, and dropping Ajose was strange as he does provide width in the team. Still, if he's going to play as a wideforward/inside forward, we still need another good option on that side. We have very little width, which makes it all very narrow, slow and congested and our midfielders struggle to keep the ball.

I don't see how we could be missing Berardi...

It would have been harsh to drop either Pearce or Cooper for Bellusci after a clean sheet, and neither played particulary badly, even though the goal was sloppy on the left hand side, more blame on Warnock for me.

Benedicic isn't ready yet, struggled against Accrington.

Austin was our best player for me last night, took control and started to spread the play with cross field passes and did his defensive work as well as always. Murphy, Bianchi and Tonge were the weak links.

Not sure what you mean about getting angry. We're just saying what we see and what is true. This team needs more creativity and pace in the final third and until we get that, we'll struggle.
