For all those who want to bash certain players, particularly Oliver, then you have to bash the team as a whole.
Giroud had a poor game, granted. He was off the pace, and even the intelligent stuff he tried failed to come off. He needs a few more games for my mind to get into the season. I felt Cambell could have come on for him earlier, although the sending off and Mikel's injury did not help things.
Wilsh I thought was okay, sometimes he kept on to the ball longer, but his drve was a a constant threat to the Turks. Santi was an improvement on Saturday, and I thought Arteta was one of the better players until he went off.
I actually think our best performer on the night. On a night where defence came first above all else, I thought he was our most solid performer. He was even enterprising when he went forward on occasion. Noticeably Debuchy's arrival has meant that our left side of defence has had to become a lot more conservative. I thought for all his stick, Nacho was what was needed on a tough Tuesday night in Istanbul.
The bashing of the team becomes ridiculous at times, and people need to become objective. Look, Chambers and Kos were decent last night, but both made errors that gave away chances. No way were they the best performers. And I thought Saint Ramsey was the worst culprit in getting a stupid sending off!
Please guys, keep it real. Keep it objective.
Bash the team!

Not alone his red card was stupid. He didnt perform again. Not on Saturday and not yesterday. He was awful. Simple.

To be honest, bar chelsea non of the top teams last season looked good this weekend. I watched liverpool and half of city and both of them seemed like us to look a bit short in terms of preparation. Everton struggled at leicester. We're not the only team to be short,
wilshere i actually thought looked decent yesterday, the only thing for him is he doesn't seem to know his role in the team, and also his shot yesterday when he took it he looked desperate for another option. Think he needs to have a big season like ramsey last year where he finds his confidence and shooting bots.

It's early in the season, all teams will improve.

DID NOT READ BEYOND THE FIRST SENTENCE.
No we do not have to bash the whole team. The whole team was poor yesterday, yes. Yesterday.
Giroud has been poor for TWO YEARS. That performance yesterday was not a one off. We see it time and time and time again.
Please tell me OP. What has Giroud done to you. What power is it? What latch does he have on you and all his pathetic bum boys who just can't say, "you know what? Giroud was fúcking terrible last night. He seriously needs to improve."
Why? Why can't people just be honest with themselves and say that. Stop fooling yourselves because you are never going to fool the rest of us.
GIROUD IS SHÍT

Why bash the team? I think Wenger's put together a great bunch of players and the first XI is currently being let down glaringly by 2 positions which are occupied by slow, lethargic players. It's so obvious what needs to be improved, the Chelsea fan above hit the nail on the head.

The reason it's happening is because for the first time in a long time we have a good chance to challenge for the league and we have the financial ability to back it up.
Fans a twitchy so players that people generally agree aren't the best in their position in the league get scrutinised heavily; particularly Giroud and Arteta.

I'm still bemused by the Wilshere bashers. I'm usually a fierce critic of Jack but he has been the brightest and sharpest of our midfielders in ALL 3 games we've played. Ramsey and Cazorla haven't been at the races at all. Arteta is just Arteta. Our pre-season preparation was dodgy.

Don't comment on something you have not read in full would be my personal advice. If you read the full text, you would see my point that Giroud was poor last night.
However, his performance was not the reason for the result. Alexis was hit and miss (in spite of his great work ethic), Ramsey was pretty much amiss, Cazorla was quiet in a game we didn't truly dominate, and Wilshere lacked that end product, despite his endeavour to drive us on. Essentially, our attacking players, bar Debuchy if you see him as such, were off their games. Clearly the players are not as sharp as we would hope in the final third.
