Good Point

A good point today as most of the players were half asleep or simply did not turn up. It was an extremely poor performance. To illustrate how it was a good point here are my marks out of 10.

Their goal was a nightmare. A wet lettuce challenge in midfield from Robbie Weir led to an attack resulting in a corner. McLaughlin, who had the jitters all afternoon from crosses, flapped at the corner, it looped in the air off Zebroski's head and Sharps headed it in to the net trying to head it over the bar.

We could have been dead and buried before half time. One of their players hit a screamer from 20 yards out that smacked against the bar.

Second half we were a bit brighter and Mousinho slotted a volley home from 8 yards out after one of their players had headed a dangerous cross up in the air.

Not a lot else happened. Akins was set up by Beavon for a one on one with their keeper but their defender caught up with him. Akins turned him inside out before chipping the advancing keeper. The ball hit the outside of the post.

If many of your team don't turn up for an away game and you trundle home with a point you have got to be happy with that. I am.
