On the Brink

I received my application form this morning relating to the open offer of shares which to me confirms how close to the end this current board are. This begging letter from the chairman David Somers on page 7 is nothing short of a disgrace and should be treated with contempt.
We have watched as a series of carpet baggers (so called experts in accountancy/marketing/business development) have waltzed up the marble staircase and after a few months left via the back door with their pockets filled with both cash & shares. The Rangers support have been left baffled as to why this current board cannot apply an appropriate business plan to ensure financial security. The support from the fans over the last few years has been nothing short of remarkable, their loyalty is without question and is the reason that no matter who is in charge of the controlling company and no matter how badly they operate, the club will always survive in one form or another.
However the fans are not blind to the fact that that they are being used as a cash cow for the major shareholders with no attachment to the club other than financial.
This club needs cleansed because the current board have lost the trust of the support and when that happens you are doomed. Any business which over the course of a year loses almost 40% of their regular customers would surely react to try and rectify this. Our current board have done nothing other than scramble to obtain further investment from the city and now begging letters to existing shareholders.
I personally cannot understand why the board don't give a legally binding undertaking not to sell or mortgage Ibrox & Murray Park when they have already stated categorically that they have no intention of doing either.
Surely they could easily obtain the £4.5 million they are looking for by give the written assurances that the UOF have requested and thereby gaining from the return of the missing thousands of season ticket holders.
Instead this board have stubbornly refused to agree to the fans request.
WHY would this board run the risk of admin 2 rather than agree to providing this written guarantee, there is no danger of them losing title to the stadium or training facility, it is merely a confirmation of their statement that Ibrox & Murray Park will not be used to raise cash.
Their steadfast refusal to produce this guarantee only serves to further increase the supporters distrust of the board.
How long will it take this board to realise that they are no longer in control, the fans are now showing their disapproval and by staying away are starving the club of much needed cash. This current begging letter is proof that it is now having an affect.
