MATCH FACTS:

HEAD-TO-HEAD:

Arsene Wenger has never lost a Premier League game against Leicester. However, he was in charge when the Gunners exited in the FA Cup fourth round in 2000 after a penalty shoot-out defeat to the Foxes.

Leicester have won just one of 16 Premier League games against Arsenal (W1, D5, L10). Their sole victory was 2-1 at Filbert Street on 23 November 1994.

Arsenal's last match against Leicester was their 38th and final game of the 2003-04 league season, when the Gunners' "Invincibles" ended the campaign unbeaten.

LEICESTER CITY:

The Foxes have won just one of their last 14 Premier League home games (D9, L4) - a 3-1 victory against Portsmouth on 8 May 2004.

However, Leicester had the best home record in the Championship last season, winning 17 of their 23 fixtures and only losing twice. They also averaged two goals per game at the King Power Stadium.

They have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 10 top-flight fixtures.

Kasper Schmeichel made eight saves against Chelsea, more than any player in a Premier League game this season (prior to this weekend).

ARSENAL:

In each of Arsenal's two Premier League games this season their opponents have scored with their first shot on target.

Last weekend's 2-2 draw at Everton was the first time Arsenal have hit back from two goals down to claim a point away from home since doing likewise at West Brom in March 2011.

The draw at Goodison Park ended Arsenal's run of six successive Premier League wins.

Aaron Ramsey has netted in four of his last five Premier League games for Arsenal.

Pathetic to have a go at Leicester.

Just came up, going up against a top 4 side.
They were skates going to sit back, try to hit on the counter.

Lovely City, Lovely result

Up the foxes

Have the Arsenal fans realised they're not as good as Chelsea yet? The difference in threat last week was far greater, Arsenal gave us very few problems at all and never looked like scoring and what a scrappy goal it was too, rubbish! Ours was from good play down the left, a great cross and a fantastic header. You didn't even score the best goal of the game.

I seem to remember the OP saying how we were going to get smashed because "how could Leicester get a result against the mighty Arsenal?" were the words being uttered. I think we've shown you up sufficiently now!!

Leicester always have big chances they miss aginst the big boys. The one against chelsea to make it 1-0 was a sitter.

^ yeah you're right, Nuge should have buried that.

Did anyone notice how composed the build up was to our goal?

Nine passes, Schlupp's cross and Ulloa's header the eleventh in a move where Arsenal got nowhere near us. It was a quality piece of football that seems to have been overlooked.

mainly as the guy that was meant to be marking him was concussed to feck

Always an excuse, are you Wenger in disguise?

If he was concussed he shouldn't have been on the pitch because the medical staff would have known he was concussed and therefore not fit to play. The fact that the medical staff assessed him to be for to play he clearly wasn't concussed.

I've had loads of cuts on my head and not been concussed so stop hiding behind the fact that you're just not that good! You got nowhere near our eleven pass move, chasing shadows boys 👍

we had 69% possession we managed more than 11 passes

posted on 1/9/14

You're Arsenal and you'll always keep possession but for all that possession, you scored the same amount of goals as us and created less than us. While you had a lot of attempts on goal, they were all poor and Kasper barely had to make a save.

We created the better chances and looked the more dangerous and our eleven pass move resulted in a goal!! End of chat mate!!

we didn't have a striker playing so of course he didn't have a lot to do.
