Borini's agent critical of Liverpool

Borini's agent has slammed liverpool and they're handling of the player on transfer deadline day, saying that Liverpool failed to entertain a loan deal from a top European club.

1st. Sunderland bid £14m about 6 weeks ago and liverpool agreed to to it, so you knew we wanted to sell him and not loan him.

2nd. We excepted yet another bid for him on deadline day, so he had the choice of 2 clubs but instead of turning them both down and saying he wanted to fight for his place. He asked for stupid and I do mean stupid wages ruling out a transfer and condemning himself to a season in the stands.

I've got no issue with players honouring they're contracts but for this plumb to have a go at Liverpool for refusing to sanction a loan to some cheapskate Italian shîthole and instead excepting good bids for a player that they own, is down right cheeky as feck.

Borini has 2 seasons left on his deal and if we'd excepted a loan, which no doubt these scabby Italian mungrels would have expected us to fund part of his wages. He would then be worth virtually nowt next summer and would have gone for next to nothing. I applaud the club for refusing to sanction a loan move and I'm personally sick to death of dealing with Italian clubs.

Let's go back to TOORs comment

=====

It was Rodgers who bought him and didn't give him much of a chance, it's not his fault he hasn't shown anything

I especially like this part "It's not his fault he hasn't shown anything"

Well let's be honest, it is his fault. He has done nothing in a Liverpool short to warrant a place on the bench. Rodgers realises his mistake and has tried to offload him.

How is it his fault he can't show anything? If he doesn't play he can't show it. He played for Sunderland and showed it. He played for Roma and showed it. Everywhere he has actually played he has scored goals. He would do it at Liverpool too, if he played. If he keeps his head down and works hard he can be a too goalscorer. His movement and work rate are excellent and he's a good finisher. Just needs the chance.

You have training, he has played some games for Liverpool with little/no real return

I am also sure that Rodgers would have people watching/watched tapes of all his plaayers who were out on loan and can see he showed it at Sunderland, if he hasn't watched his tapes....what does that tell you about his thoughts on Borini?

That he isn't as good as Sturridge, Balotelli and Lambert. Still worth 14 million though and would walk into Evertons team

You say that, yet Martinez shows no interest in him......or any other top side.

Makes you wonder what the managers of these sides see that you guys dont?

Both Naismith and Borini have about the same strike rate, about 1 in 4. Borini is only starting out though and nearly half of his appearances were off the bench. Plus he played in better leagues than the Scottish Premier League and even then Naismith's strike rate wasn't any good.

Borini is already a better player, even though he's just starting out. He scored goals for Roma where he played, he scored for Swansea where he played and he scored goals for Sunderland when he played.

He only started ten games for us. Some of them as a lone striker in weakened teams, some out wide. Scored two goals. I've no doubt if he had a run of games, he'd start scoring goals. It's very obvious that he has a natural ability to score goals, it always has been since his Chelsea youth days.
