Monday meltdown

Now the dust has settled and things have calmed down. I've gotta ask. What the hell were many of you on yesterday?? Honestly it was the most frenzied, manic, bizzare thing that I've ever witnessed. Posters that are normally calm and measured were losing their heads. It was like you all became that that cretin Wolf or GOONER for the day. It followed on from Sunday were the reaction to the draw was at best over the top. I honestly feared for your sanity

I remember something similar just before ozil was signed but not as extreme.

Come on this can't keep happening every window ffs, we were the laughing stock because of the melt downs that were occurring. Is this going to be the pattern after every dropped point and every transfer window? We are all passionate but calm down ffs We are arsenal not the mob down the road

"Because it was embarrassing and believe it or not we are all meant to have the same goal; to support Arsenal FC."

On JA606? I was under the impression we were here to debate our opinions, not act like partisan banner-carriers for our respective teams? Whether the opposition fans think we are a bunch of clowns or the best fans in the world, it makes literally zero difference to me or Arsenal FC.

"Why have you ignored poisonous posters like this Wolf character who are literally only here to insult and be negative in every single post. Look at all this guys articles, is this really who you want to be aligning with on an Arsenal forum?"

I don't align myself to him, in fact I disagree with about 99% of what he says. But at least, barring this thread it seems, he comes on to air his views rather than just try to be a super-fan or police the board?

Not really. The meltdown from a lot of your fans have been from people I get on with and consider good posters.

You should have seen our board last season. Didn't bother me the likes of Chris H and that having a laugh at our misfortune as it was expected.

That said, I can understand you getting piiisssed off with the people are that in the extreme because it's the same for anybody when they have differing views.

The options we have in defence going into four competitions borders on negligence.
Every body can see it except Arsene! Sad really.

A few lapses have shown that Chambers and Debuchy are yet to learn how to read the high Arsenal defensive line. Let's see how well they settle in first.

This thread im just playing about with this godfather kid who is obsessed with me, really I should just ignore him.

Agree with you on the 'superfan' stuff - its just pathetic really, if you have an alternative (or realistic) view - you get muppets like him insulting you etc, pathetic.

Read Gillespie's post. Wolf (or big bad wolf as he is now known) has done nothing on this post but insult. Look at his articles. Nothing but negativity and poison. You are posting measured responses but then undermine them my using this clown as an example

The anger yesterday was justified and understandable. Wenger faffed about when it came down to it.
Don't know why you're all surprised.

If the OP still can't see the manager does not have the hunger to get the club to the very top then I am a bit lost. If he can see that but still welcomes the mediocrity, then that is his choice but as for me I am tired of being also-runs when he have the potential to be so much more with a more ambitious/hungrier manager at the helm. As for the rival fans, why do you care so much?

I dont understand your reasoning here? Sanchez is a world class signing? Ozil is a world class signing? Both transfers were up to triple what Wenger has ever paid for a player.

Chambers a massive prospect, Welbeck also has potential to become something. Ospina was brilliant in the world cup and Debuchy was chosen above Sagna at France

In what way do any of these signings show that the manager doesnt have the hunger to get to the top and that we are also rans?? I just dont get your logic tbh. Did you want us to do a united and just throw 160 million at random players in desperation? Even if we wanted to we couldnt do that and stay within the realms of FFP.

I have to ask, you think an ambitious manager would go season in season out without building a well rounded squad? Or without addressing the glaring issues in the squad? It's not about just throwing money, we would have signed Reus on deadline day and I would still be mad.
