Hello Duncan ....well I guess I could offer lots of excuses - Peterson losing his place which I still find ridiculous and trott going through his breakdown...probably the worst thing was Cook and his dreadful lack of form...truth is though they were bad times and I couldn't think what to write! However this is a Yorkshire board and i am pleased that England seem to have got it right withYorkshire players!! Balance and Root now are the mainstays for England...I also think Lyth and Brooke's have big futures for England. I await the next Ashes in a happier frame of mind!

If Lyth & Rashid arent in the next squad then serious questions need to be asked.

Lyth has dominated the batting this season, Rashid is loads better than Ali as well.
