Mayweather vs Maidana ll Predictions

After the first fight there have been questions hanging over whether Mayweather done enough to win, whether his legs are starting to go and whether Maidana was just simply underestimated. Well any questions lingering on from the first fight will be put to bed this weekend at the MGM grand when Mayweather and Maidana go toe to toe once again.

Floyd Mayweather requires no introduction, his boxing skills and record are ones that we are all aware off.His legacy in the sport has already been sewn up and he will go down as one of the greats of all time. The man outside the ring is one we perhaps do not know that well. We see what he wants to shows us and what he has shown us over the years is nothing short off flashy, flamboyant and boisterous. The trash talking, the women, the cars the money it's all been part of the image he has portrayed to the world. But in recent times he has mellowed and we see a man who sees the finishing line up ahead and he is embracing the time he has left. However before the fat lady sings he has 3 more fights left and his opponent on Saturday night will be hoping to do what 46 have failed and put a rather big blemish on what has been a perfectly clean record.

Marcos chino Maidana is the man that stands between Floyd and immortality. Hailing from the Argentines it would be safe to say his journey to the top has been anything but smooth but he has shown that adversity only makes him stronger, that counting him out only makes him hungrier .With big wins over Morales,Ortiz,Broner and Josesito Lopez he has proven that he can not only hang with the best but beat them. Admittedly it does seem easier when you have the type of power that not many others possess and the type of pressure come forward style that not many can cope with. Despite the rocky road he faced getting here a turning point came when he teamed up with a former champion in Robert Garcia. Together they turned a one dimensional fighter into a fighter who could adapt,a fighter who had an answer for every question presented to him a fighter who once again believed.

Fight prediction:
During the first fight Maidana had a lot of success in the early rounds due to his constant pressure and punch output. He did not let Floyd breathe and when he got him up against the ropes he unleashed everything including the kitchen sink.It was perhaps not what most expected but Maidana showed us chinks in what seemed an unbreakable armour. There were murmurs in the crowd and amongst fans that tonight would be the night Floyd loses the 0.
However the second half of the fight brought everyone including Maidana back to the earth. Floyd began to time him and using his jab he took the fight to Maidana. Maidana clearly was feeling the exertions of the first half of the fight and as he began to tire Floyd began to go to work. Hitting him with rights at will and slipping and moving so much more than he did at the start. Every time Maidana was caught in the middle of the ring he would get punished.Floyd rightfully one a decision victory despite people thinking Maidana had done enough.

I think the second fight will go the way the first should have gone.Floyd will start quickly and keep the fight in the middle. He will keep Maidana at bay with his jab whilst utilising ring movement. I think Maidana will look to start off slow so his tank isn't empty by the later rounds. The thing is though,Maidana showed his hand in the first fight. He cannot suddenly decide to box Floyd because he will get beaten. His physical pressure style worked well in the first fight but he gassed. Floyd will be ready this time and he will put on a boxing clinic to win by unanimous decision.

De marco was the number 1 challenger at lightweight and was his first fight at that weight in which he destroyed him! I would say he's a B level fighter at the time, the ref broke up the fight far to quickly last night which played into mayweathers hands

lol...De Marco is nothing more than a C level fighter, never has been

Gift Garcia has confirmed he's definitely moving up to 147. Delighted with that. He's gonna get smashed up.

I give D.Garcia credit for winning those fights, I would pick him to lose a rematch against both.

Khan was boxing his head off and got too confident/careless, he's not like that under Hunter, he's more disciplined. He underestimated D.Garcia.

Matthysse was beating him until his eye shut, which was a freak accident, check it out on youtube.

Maidana is the only guy in the top 10 at 147 I would give D.Garcia a decent chance of beating, but I'd still pick Maidana to outwork him

Easy work again from Floyd. He has to fight Pacman or is legacy will be tarnished.
