Noam Chomsky on Scottish Independence

This is a footy forum and we get a bit of banter now and again.

The thing that gets me is the clear aggression from the 'yes' camp to (futilely) try to influence posters on here to change thier votes.

The main reason seems to be citing that fear is no way to base your decision on.

Well, fear of the worst is no more or less valid a reason to make a decision than aggressive xenophobic mudslinging

I reiterate - I can see no evidence of posters changing thier vote based in what they read on here...

Fair comment, deBear. Just thought the views of one of the worlds foremost intellectuals was worth watching.

Absolutely Ath. I'm a big fan of John Pilger who regularly quotes Chomsky.

It looks like the Deutsche Bank are warning of the potential for an economic depression...

Pretty sure they are respected too...

I agree, dB, though would say that the No camp can be just as aggressive.

The OP was just to show a different viewpoint from a global perspective.

As it stands I value Alex Salmond and his intentions more than the Eton posse. ( I know it's not a vote for the SNP )

It's just there is absolutely no depth of resilience in thier plans - IMHO they have put ambition before security.
