Here is my apology for a match thread - I know it is appreciated but....welll....anyway the more able NSR is playing football herself and is unable to word process...I am meanwhile teaching myself to learn.....
After the routine moral victory at the weekend at which Florest played out of their skins but could only manage a draw with a Derby side which barely played at 70% and still has plenty to give, we are facing one of those dreary mid-week fixtures which is difficult to get to when you are working and even more difficult to get back. Thank goodness that these factors allow Forest to get good (allegedly) away attendances.
Whitbread should be in for Buxton and if he performs as well as he did in the 4-4 draw with Ipswich, we may not see Jake for some time...... Jamie Ward is back in contention after a little injury.
Derby's last win was 1-0 at Ewood Park in the Premier League in December 2001.
Blackburn have made a strong start and sit nicely just outside the play-offs a point ahead of Derby. Not a fixture to relish
Team News as and when but I think the same team that beat Florest moralisticaly minus Bucko plus Whitbread.

Blackburn Rovers 2 - 3 Derby County

4pts from two away games from at one least difficult team is a great return.
And more so if we can put one over a bogey team in trouble at home, then we've got that missing momentum.
Any Rams fans that still thinks we were better off this time last season needs a reality check, this is a proper squad and a club going places.
Come on you Rams.

Will be interesting to see if we can still bang when a game's not as open though, but tonight after 'the beast' that was Sunday, came beauty.

It did look pretty
Until they scored the 2nd.
But we'll have learnt a lesson and still came away with 3 pts.
Bodes well.

Cracking win for us that...they're a good side who I fancy to be in top 6 this season. And on there own patch never an easy place to go. Wardy is on fire at the minute and made a difference, missed him Sunday.
But Hughesy ran the show, ramage was purring last night!!!

It seems their fans disagree with their manager that they deserved a point.

A lot of managers say this in defeat and you often just accept it if you haven't seen the match yourself. But these rovers fans are quite opposed to his suggestion they deseved a point and quite complimentary to how we played. 2nd comment made me think though do many other teams now think we have spent a load of money. Our entire squad must cost around £5m and assembled over a few years. Maybe the Thorne saga has made people think we spent more than we have.

Thanks for the links Pablo & Igor
Particularly enjoyed the following comment from a Blackburn fan...
Derby have a system of play which they all looked comfortable with (the ball) and they also looked fitter and stronger. I expect that Derby will finish as Champions as they look to have improved on last season
