Should have brought back Song!

Nobody has said he's "amazing" though. Nice strawman argument. Is he good enough to impact this current side of ours? Absolutely.

Arteta is better than Song defensively

Song is bad. But he's better than Arteta.

Players look better playing for crappy clubs. Look at Downing, looks a beast this season but looked awful for Liverpool. Song is perhaps too good for West Ham, but he was part of the failure teams at Arsenal. Sure he done good but he's really not the the top class player the team needs. Often in high intensity CL matches he would be found out, just like Arteta and Flamini do.

We were still used to good players in that position. You mean like Flamini who song replaced?

I always consider it as Song had some first team performances but was not a regular first team player. When Song broke into the team it was Denilson who was dropped.

He was really poor defensively, he couldn't make simple, short passes, his long balls normally went out for a goal kick, but once in a while someone got the end of it and did something special.

We shouldn't have been in a position where bringing back Song was even mentioned. Sadly he is marginally better than Flamini and Arteta but we have more than enough resources to aim for a far better player and to stop stockpiling average players.
