Prediction: 4-1 Town Win
After last weekends disaster at Elland Road where we capitulated under the pressure ,and to be fair we were lacklustre and garbage, this weekend brings a whole new challenge.
Millwall have started the season in decent form:
Played 8 won 3 drawn 2 and lost 3,giving them 11 points and they are currently in 13th position in the league.Their last three results are LLD. In their last away game they held league leaders Nottingham Forest 0-0. Fingers crossed their early season form has dipped
Head to Head at the JSS/Galpharm/Mcalpine:
Since 1996 we've played them seven times and won on six occasions. We lost 1-2 in season 08/09.
Players to watch out for:
David Forde,Keeper,he always has a blinder against us
Lee Gregory a former Halifax player will be heading back up north .They also have some experienced danger men in their team.Ricardo Fuller, Jimmy Abdou,Carlos Edwards,Scott Macdonald (Ausie loser) and big bad Danny Shittu.
All in all they have a half decent squad.I just hope we actually turn up this week. Powell has had a full week to train and inspire our under achieving overpaid donkeys ,so HOPEFULLY we can at least put a shift in.
My Town 11 would be:
Murphy
Smith Hudson Lynch Dixon
Hammill (if fit) Coady Butterfield Bunn
Wells Ward (or emergency loan)
4-4-2 and just attack the bu ggers.Nowt to lose, and once Hammill is knackered, bring Scanz on with 30/40 mins to go. Simple
I've rested Smithies just to "freshen things up". He can go shopping or whatever. In my opinion,he needs resting.
I think enough has been said about last weeks result and performance,so I won't dwell on the past.Sorry if the thread is short and sweet .But I'm fairly busy this week.

Anyone else concerned about this?
"At the minute I want to have two strikers on the pitch as Nahki needs someone alongside him, so we might be a 3-5-2 team. I felt that was the right way to go this week."

All in all a fair assessment,
I personally don't think the performance was all that good,
But after last week, It must surely have been an improvement.
Holt agree
Scannell agree very positive changes.
I will add, I thought Miiiiiiiiiiiiii were Shiite. A shocking performance, ! er..... Good = 3 points.
Me.
I have to learn to be more patient
After Lillis had them fired up, I just assumed Powell would hit the ground 'running' with this squad.
But having listened to him, I like his attitude and think 'eventually' he'll do us OK.
Interesting he said there was no one else 'imminent'..!
I'd like to see Paterson all blood & thunder along side Wells, then Holt used for the last half hour to prolong the pressure on the opponents.
Scannell to 'start'.... then be subbed if & when he's bug arghed.
We get 3 points then have Wolves away...
A mountain to climb from where we are.
I'll ask again.....
Why don't we use the advantage of a blinding sun in the opposition goal keepers face ??
Town should have been smashing in shots at every opportunity in the 2nd half, and backing up to capitalize on any fumble !
Any one whose had the misfortune to watch a game from that end ..in bright sunlight will know exactly what I mean.

seems like Town are no longer looking for any strikers now that Holt is with us, for 4 weeks. This is obviously the fruition of months and months of research by the back room staff ?
Hmm, more like we were never in the market for a striker and then Holt became available last week..so we thought, oh, he'll do for 4 weeks...to appease the fans.
I would have thought we would still have feelers out looking for a more permanent loanee...but it's obvious we will sit tight until the January window now..when of course prices will be sky high....
Think Town have been telling us porkies ??
