It's actually good it was picked up so young she takes daily injections that reduce the frequency and duration of her symptoms. Probably half the year she has no severe symptoms.

Sadly though it's inevitable that these temporary relapses become permanent as you get older but like anything the younger you are when you start the meds the later in life you get the permanent issues.

One frightening statement though I read was that the highest cause of death amongst MS suffers is suicide. The rate amongst sufferers is estimated to be 10 times higher than the average.

Gives you an idea how bad it is

Elite similar experience she wouldn't accept it either for first few years. Then she had the relapse when she lost her sight.

Now she is all over it even starting to get involved in community groups and fund raising

My ex is still in denial at 30 years old (though she likes to use it in arguements)

Feel bad for her but she has been a total 🐄 to me
