I can’t help think the when the F.A appointed Roy they looked at the squad, thought there was no chance of winning anything anyway so went for a choice that wouldn't raise expectations, wouldn't cost a great deal and wouldn't cause controversy and arrived at Hogson.

I really do believe someday, in the VERY distant future, when he's achieved absolutely everything he set out to in football. We will see Jose Mourinho managing England in at least one world cup. Too many things point to it being destined to happen.
If I had money on it, his career path now reads Chelsea-Portugal-England before retiring.

Spurs were doing well at the time and a lot of people though 'Arry walked on water, the team would inevitably be built up and fail and we'd be in the same position but even more dejected and 'Arry would've rubbed a few people up the wrong way for good measure. And they'd have to pay Spurs for the privilege.
