Why don't Arsenal play Podolski more often?

I think those Arsenal fans who say that Podolski is not good enough should rethink as Podolski usually scores vital goals for Arsenal as a substitute. He is being unfairly left out of many matches when he should be playing more for Arsenal and he deserves to play at least regularly as a substitute.
Thing I don't understand about Arsene Wenger is that he keeps Podolski out of many games when he always scores goals as a substitute for Arsenal.I would love if Chelsea signed Podolski as he could score many goals as a substitute for us.Arsene Wenger is misusing Podolski who is a class player.

What do you Arsenal fans think?

Despite AW's comments I still believe he will be sold in January. He was on the verge of leaving in the last window (his social media comments only serve to confirm) and do not see a future for him at the club.

Dont think he was mate. The truth is he hadnt a concrete offer.

I'd rather have someone in our team that can score 15 odd goals a season rather then someone in the same position that only scores 3. Those goals all end up being very vital to our team.
Haters keep on hating!

He had posted a picture of himself on Instagram with language along the lines of ‘going to pastures new’ and ‘time to move on’ etc. Was pretty much saying his goodbyes.

Oh, and the usual 678,000 hashtags…

I'd rather we had a manager who doesn't, by default, stick every new attacking player out on the left

Boss - This headless chicken thing you're on about. You are aware that for our tactics to work we need our forward players pressing the opposition, rather than standing in space waiting for them to give it away?

May i ask what tactics these are? as i can only see 10 clowns on the pitch (minis Alexis)

I take it you did not watch the game yesterday when the entire team just stood still for large parts of the game. Not the first time this has happen this season too.

We are currently a shambles of a team.

It certainly does not take a genius to work out the team is currently in a mess. Injuries have not helped but the performance levels this season have been in the main, abject.

Many refer to systems, coaching etc however IMO the players need to bear the majority of culpability. Numerous players have simply not performed to the level expected of them.

This is what i'm saying. I've given up on the team being set up to play to the strengths of the players we have, which is why i said having Poldi is pointless.

It just looks like Wenger tells all the players, individually, to 'go out and express themselves' without any attention paid to the overall team tactic.

The players, Alexis aside, have been very poor this season - But Wenger has been an absolute joke as well.

I know....the media made a goodbye of it. There was nothing concrete in the summer.

Agree....or at least players not consistent enough. And our injury list every season is ridiculous which didnt help us.

Impact sub and deserves more than just 10 minutes per game. You can't build a player's form by playing him just 10 minutes per week.

I agree Rosicky deserves more game time also.

Poldi is limited, that's for sure, but his "only" trick is 2nd to none of the team. We SHOULD utilize it more. Like say play him 15-20 minutes per game, open up the middle and let him shoot at will (a bit exaggerated).

The only thing I want to defend Poldi is, people keep saying he is lazy and not track back enough. I want to know how many goals we conceded on his side, was his fault, and what was his +/- on the team compare to others. There is no concrete evidence showing when he was on the field we conceded more than when he was not on the field, and on left side.
