MMA Roundup

Few things happened over the past month or so.

Velasquez out of his return fight & title defence at 180 against Werdum. Replacement is the "fairytail fighter" Mark Hunt. Interim title announced, so Cain could be in for another long one on the sidelines. Gutted really, hopefully he can make a fully recovery this time!

War Machine tries to commit suicide in prison. This guy is really screwed, his head has gone. "I was born in the wrong era" it said in a suicide note. Probably meaning he'd prefer to live in a time where blokes could just smash their missus up whenever they wanted without getting done for it. Cuckoo.

Cung Le failed he post-fight drug test after the Bisping battering. UFC suspended him for 12mnths. Then later reversed the decision due to insufficient evidence from the testing?! Very strange, Le was pretty adamant he was not guilty, is this going to be another drug that will allow fighters to improve performance "legally"? Didn't seem to work for Le anyway?!

Conor Mcgregor has said he doesn't want to wait for Aldo/Mendes winner, a fight against Denis Siver has been touted. Siver was unhappy at C.Mc getting fast tracked above him in the rankings. Now is his time to try shut C.Mc up...unlikely, I think 1st rnd stoppage for Conor.

Rousey Vs Zingano @ 182 co-main to Jones/Cormier. Zingano is a bit of a beast, can Rowdy keep her run going, after a KO win last time out? Dana will be gutted is she doesn't, and his female cash-cow gets milked in Vegas.

Team Pettis is steamrolling Team Melendez on TUF 20 - Female Strawweights - Winner gets the first ever UFC Strawweight Title. There are some really decent fighters in the house, and its very competitive to be honest. And the cast is quite nice to look at also (well some are)

Diego Sanchez also off the 180 card - Joe Lauzon replaced Norman Parke to fight Sanchez, Lauzon pulled out yesterday, and now Sanchez has pulled out whilst waiting for a new opponent.

Nate the Great Vs Brad Tavares booked for 182, can Nate find some of his better form? Should be a very good fight in my opinion. I'll pick Nate as its at MW, he looked very bad at WW but looked decent-ish against Te Huna, Tavares was on a 5 fight tear until back to back losses to Romero & Boetsch.

Weidman Vs Belfort @ 184 in L.A. First fight for Vitor outside of Brazil for a while, he looks to have lost quite a bit of muscle from his frame last few months, after knocking his last 3? opponents heads off in Brazil this will be a very big ask for Vitor, young hungry Weidman is a bit beast-like and im not sure Vitor can throw things that Machida or Silva couldn't?! Weidman TKO for me.

WSOF - Jake Shields gets knocked down early, Ford breaks his arm and gets choked out in Rnd 1. Smealinho Rama beat Derrick Mehmen to be the first WSOF HW Champ, took less than a minute!! Okami headline WSOF15 in November, Palhares Vs Fitch end of December with Melvin Guillard also on that card.

Upcoming Bellator fights, Newton Vs Vassell for LHW Title, Bobby Lashley also on that card. Then the card after that is Tito Vs Bonnar - very poor and also PPV I believe!!!!!

Feel free to add anything ive missed

Aldos face is busted up!!! I totally agree about the after-bell shots....crazy to think you can just instantly stop throwing bombs when you are so focussed on hitting someone, who's also trying to bomb your head off!!!! Move on from that garbage!!

I agree Mcgregor beats Siver. Fights against Mendes/Aldo/Swanson or Edgar would all be very very watchable imo!

I fell in love with Misha Tate on her TUF series, Carraway is a lucky dude I'd like to do things to her I couldn't even tell my dog about!!!!!

100% agree on the Cain stuff...hes a real beast, the Lesnar destruction & the 2 Bigfoot beatings were great to watch as well. Like you say, good luck in him getting back to full fitness & finding his best fighting form!

TRT Belfort is a scary man. Normal Belfort is unfortunately an aging fighter who needs to be careful against Weidman...who could potentially stay at the top of that division for a long time!!!!!
