It has to do with a number of things so its not so ridiculous. We know what he offered once upon a time. We know where he was when he left. We know his age. We know his legs are gone. Also it was a very bad/worrying first game for him.

I celebrated the most I have celebrated this season when he scored against United literally slid on my knees as he did at the away end, Had shorts on though and it was a wooden floor

Better Drogba scoring for us than against us

Drogba is a 3rd choice striker who has just scored in 3 consecutive games (ok the opposition in 2 of them are not the best i agree)

How many times over the past 2-3 years has a 1st choice striker scored in 3 consecutive games?

No he isnt as good as he used to be, he is 36 for fecks sake hasnt played much recently then plays 3 games in 7 days for the team.

We are lucky to have him.

I know Costa is brilliant but depending on the opposition (big cup final game) or even a big match against arsenal, I'd definitely consider starting Didier over Costa

Delighted he has scored a couple in the absence of Costa and Remy. Drogba always be a Chelsea legend but let's get some perspective

So many wrote of after one game, which was ridiculous. They wrote of a Drogba that was coming back from injury, and slightly still injured. According to Mourinhio, Drogba has only really started properly training with the team 2 weeks ago, so I'm extremely impressed with his fitness in these past 3 games. If anyone watched him at times last season for Galatasary it was so obvious to see he still had the majority of his qualities still there, just a bit slower. Speed is not of such high importance when you have strength to hold players off, and good link up play to release on coming players.

Costa is number one striker, then depending on the opponent it's Drogba or Remy.

There is no better feeling then seeing Drogba score again. He is my favourite player alongside Zola.

Drogba had the option to play for a rival like Lamps and he turned it down. He will never play for another English club. He is a true blue

Rtm but people made snap judgments based on one game. They didn't even think to take into account the mitigating circumstances. As far as I'm concerned. Drogba is pretty much around the same level as he was when he left us in 2012. He didn't score with every kick he had back then. He used to have some right stinkers but he also managed to come up with goals when the team is not playing well. That is what he doing right now imo.

I'm happy he's here and I agree people judged him straight away. He wasn't bad against Schalke and could have score at least 2 goals but they went just wide if I remember, 6inches to the other side and he'd be on 5 now!

It's easy to run away with what the press says and easier to agree with someone else's opinion than to think and have your own
