Can you remember when we stuck 10 past Huddersfield?
It still seems incredible to this day.
Without trying to appear arrogant, I reckon we will give someone a bad beating this season.
Who do you reckon it'll be and by how much?
Wigan, Newcastle and Norwich stick out for the matches before Xmas.
All look under-prepared and ripe for the plucking. I wouldn't be surprised if we stuck at least 6 past one of them.
Who remembers sticking 10 past Huddersfield

I was in the Kippax that day with my brother. We'd met some of his Huddersfield mates (from Uni) in the Albert before the game. They asked me who out danger man was. I told them Paul Stewart. I suppose I should have also mentioned Adcock and White
To be fair to Huddersfield, they could have been 3-0 up before McNab's speculative effort found the bottom corner, but after that, I swear I've never seen a team fall to pieces so spectacularly. Serves them right for wearing the most hideous yellow and black chess set of a kit

I do remember that game very well. £ City players scored a hat-trick. That was David White, Paul Stewart and Tony Adcockwith neil Mc Nab also getting on the score sheet for us. Huddersfield goal was also scored by an ex blue Andy May.
Ripley's Cat if I am right your right about the score line being 6-0 but I am sure that it was Leeds Utd that we beat in the next game after that 10-1 win against Huddersfield.

I was positive the next game was against Plymouth, and that the game finished 6-2. But now you mention Leeds, that does sound familiar.
I'm gonna have to look this up.

The Full Member's Cup really was a disaster from the start.
Attendances overall weren't the best in the '80s.

Didn't go to the final as i was away, wasn't it played on the sunday, after we had played Utd at old trafford the day before drawing 2-2?
We lost 5-4 to Chelsea, after being 5-1 down i think

It was definitely Plymouth, I remember the report in the paper after the Plymouth game saying that we'd gone from a flood to a mere deluge (or was it the other way round)
