I never realised that Jamie Vardy was a local lad.
Robbie Fowler would certainly be an interesting future manager, should he be given the opportunity

Sorry, bit misleading as to what I meant.
Che is from Ilkeston FC academy.
My reference to Jamie Vardy was to do with our seemingly reluctance to sign players from lower leagues.

I know for a fact that the club had actually agreed a fee with Fleetwood for Vardy. Not sure whether he agreed to come or not. The reason why it didn't go ahead was that our manager (Pesch) got cold feet and pulled out!!!
