To be fair at least Spurs were at least a little ambitious when they spent £100m +. They gambled on big signings like Soldado and Lamela, although it didn't work out, at least they made a big effort to replace Bale. Liverpool on the other hand, went for Lambert and over priced Southampton players. No wonder they are team is falling apart with a whimper

Moreno was again good. He could not do anything for their 2nd goal. Lovren is good at set pieces but him and Skrtel are poor Partners. Toure should be playing. Lucas should replace Henderson . Lambert or Borini replacing Balotelli.

That was the best Liverpool have played since the Spurs game I feel.................Very good first 25 minutes and then Chelsea took control for the rest of the 1st half.

2nd half Chelsea were the better team till they scored, then they sat deeper and Liverpool came back into the game, but lacked the cutting edge..............which of course without Sturridge is not a surprise..

Overall.....a tight game, Chelsea just edged it.

I agree since Lamela came to the premier league he has been poor, and obviously Lallana has been better. A lot of that is because of injuries, so Spurs were a little unlucky. However Lamela was attracting a lot of clubs around Europe, whereas Lallana is not a big name player overseas.

Liverpool went for what they thought were low risk, high risk awards, and unfortunately thats resulted in the team going completely backwards. They had over £100m and champions league football, they could easily been ambitious with who they tried sign.

Dissapointed in Liverpool today lads, even in recent years when you wernt at your best you were always good in big games and Anfield was a tough place to go.

Agree. Increasingly looks like he's been found out as a clueless Championship-level manager..
