Living within our means

Not the greatest Celtic team ever...

Not the best top flight ever....

But there is something to be admired about the way that these clubs, including our own, have cut their cloth accordingly

There are two ways of looking at this, agreed.

If you look at net spend then:

Ross County spend more than
Celtic who spend more than
Tottenham Hotspur

If you look at money spent then:

Tottenham Hotspur spend more than
Celtic who spend more than
Ross County

Using the two examples above, tell me which method of calculation gives the more accurate result?

Net spend is meaningless as you have shown.

As a side point I see both Celtic and Rangers are (supposedly) interested in Tranmere midfielder Max Power

Am I the only one that would love to buy him without even having seen him just for that name.

We could sing the Homer Simpson Max Power song

Max Power!
He's the man,
Whose name you'd love to touch!
But you mustn't touch.
His name sounds good in your ear,
but when you say it, you mustn't fear!
Cuz his name can be said by anyone!

One of the best episodes ever.. Sad enough to say I know that song off by heart

Actually come to think of it there have been some good debates on this thread - so I'm happy that it stimulated constructive and rational comment, including from DC, despite his outrageous and unprovoked personal attacks at the start of the thread
