Pearson Watch.

Pearson on yesterdays result against Sunderland; "If the players play in that fashion, we'll be fine"

Really? Was yesterdays performance that good?

Based on what I saw yesterday, If Ulloa has to keep dropping into midfield just to get the ball, then he won't be in attacking positions to score goals.

If we cant utilise our pace in the wide areas to open teams up and put the ball into the box, we won't create the kind of chances we did against United.

If our best chances end up with Matty James, Andy King or Wes Morgan from a corner then we will continue not to score goals, because they're not finishers.

If we can't utilise Vardy in the way we did last season and get him partnered with Ulloa in a way that works, then we will likely continue not scoring many goals.

I am still behind Pearson, he deserves our support and a chance to reverse our fortunes, but when is he going to get it? This squad doesnt have the quality to survive, things won't be fine if we keep playing the same way week in, week out - its the same old stubborn approach thats seen us not win in over 2 months.

Is Pearson just holding the fort, giving the fans some reassurance knowing all along that he needs to come up with something in the January window or does he actually really think that the likes of Konchesky, Wood, Nugent and King are going to keep us out of the bottom 3?

I don't know whether I'm more concerned about our form or Pearsons attitude towards it, but then again I guess what he says in the dressing room and to the media are two different things.

Again, I'm still behind him. I've defended Pearson on this board a lot in the past. He's one of our best managers in the last 20 years, but unlike the championship after our poor run two years ago, he likely won't get another crack at it next season.

Well he not going to say all the players are crap, I fcuked up in the summer transfer window! and we're all doomed is he?? I think just maybe he see's the same everyone else see's..

Not sure somebody - there were a few fans more than concerned during the summer window but Pearson didn't seem to be.

A number of us were worried about the FB positions and I think that has proven to be a concern.

I'm beginning to think he really does believe this squad to be capable and that if we just keep chugging away we'll get a break. Thats backed up by his unwillingness to use anyone else in the squad, including Knocky and Powell who have both been impressive for the U21's

Just re-reading through my original thread, its pretty doom and gloom I know. To be honest I really thought we could beat Sunderland and at home it was another chance to get a valuable 3 points.

These games are important and when all the pundits and most of the fans keep saying the same thing every week.......it just feels like groundhog day.
