Lee Cattermole

Lee Cattermole consistently goes toe to toe with the best midfielders in the league and yet he is constantly being overlooked by Hodgson.

He really should get a chance with the senior team. He was part of the u21 setup a few years back but as far as I'm aware he hasn't even had a single game with the seniors.

He would provide a strong, intelligent central pivot for the talented young attackers to go do their stuff.

Very good game against Chelsea today.

Wow! The guy is a dreadfull footballer! He can run about and kick people but he doesn't have anything else in his locker. I remember when Alonsi said that tackling is a last resort not a quality. As pretentious as that sounds, I think he was spot on! England should do better.

How often do we play top teams?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We always seem to play them the day we get knocked out... Strange pattern

The guy that's on course to finish the season with the most assists ever in a single season in the league is massively overrated. Didn't remember us parking the bus against Munich last year or City last and this season.

Fair play to Sunderland, they gave us a harder battle than United did, apart from hitting the post, we barely had a chance, and they had some really good chances at the end. That's now 3 games within a year that Poyet has had the better of Mourinho, new bogey team for us.

So Man utd having more possession and 19 shots to chelsea 9 shots vs Sunderland having a lot less possession and less shots and more against means Sunderland gave you a tougher game You were lucky Courtpis was so good so good he was man of the match.

Di Maria missed a chance from mata pass 3yds out, rvp had shot blocked from 3yds out easily could have gone in then was clean through on goal 1st half and hit it straight at the keeper. We also had a shot 2nd half from central edge of the box that just flew wide and rvp smashed a shot from an angle close in 4yds out that Courtois just about saved with his legs and I don't think you could get out of your own half after Drogba scored.

those who think he just kicks people should go and watch the Chelsea game from yesterday and highlights from his other games. I hate how most football fans have strong opinions based on stereotypes when they only ever "watch" their own teams play while only keeping one eye on the game and the other on their facebook news stream.

"These guys are backs-to-the-wall players. They'll look great when they are getting in the faces of far superior players. Put them in a team that should be controlling a game, and they'll be lost."

You obviously haven't watched Catts since Gus became his manager

"what difference does it make if he's more than guaranteed to get a yellow, or a red with European referees"

You obviously haven't watched Catts since Gus became his manager, either, 'Darkphoenix'

Since Gus became manager Catts has been 'man of the match' in nearly every game, in my opinion, and I don't expect that to change because he's learned to control himself and he's a brilliant player

His only problem is his past reputation (apart from idiotic comments on here from people who obviously haven't seen him play), because some referees seem as though they 'can't wait' to book him after one foul
Unfortunately for them, these fouls are 'few and far between' now

Brilliant again today, and the dirty (again) black & white 'stards again got what they deserved

Well done The Lads
