Barely comment on here anymore because it's getting very dull, but I'm fed up of hearing people say they want stability but not with a manager who hasn't proved himself after six months. How are we going to get stability with that mentality?
Every manager that comes into this club is going to struggle at first at the moment. You can't change every six months and not have those issues. Each time a manager goes the unrest grows and the job gets harder for the next person who takes over.
Add to this the backroom mess that Billy caused and now the embargo and I doubt any manager would have us flying at this stage.
Yes, Psycho has made a few tactical errors. But when players are letting him down every week that is going to happen. Is he the right man? I'm not sure yet. Do we know for sure that he isn't after six months? Not a chance. I for one think that SOD, McLaren, and maybe even McLeish (and even Billy if he hadn't been certifiable) would have improved us given time. I think the same about Psycho.

Steady on Caniggia.

The thing with stability isn't that you'll stick by a manager in a bad run as it's a none issue when all is well. So who will we do that with? Some jumped on SP early so are they going to be more patient if we hit reset on the rebuild? Not likely unless we get Pep in.
Have you read Forest Boffins article I posted earlier elsewhere and FAF followed suit later

I meant "is" not "isn't"

The Forest Boffin article is the most sensible piece written recently on Forest's situation. Always spot on with their analysis.
Let's hope Fawaz has read it...

Len - it's not just about sentimentality. As you'll notice in the original post, I said that SOD and Mclaren should also have been given more time. We need to stop being so eager to pull the trigger every time a manager goes through a bad run. Pearce's tactics were spot on at the start of the season - yes, he's taken too long to come up with a successful plan b, but let's at least give him a chance to try. If we sack him, we won't get anyone good - and then we'll be here again in six months, wondering whether to give another manager the push. It's idiotic.
