I dont normally bother much writing articles on here but I think yeaterdays game warrants one.
For me the jury has been out on Poch so far this season and we have seen good things and bad things.
For last nights game I thought his management was a disgrace and altho I will forgive what I consider dreadful team selection and tactics I will not forgive or forget the moral side which IMO was a disgrace.
Just what kind of message does making Adebayor captain send out? If I were the likes of Vertongen, Lloris or even Walker I would seriously be considering my options for next season. The message is clear, you can totally take the pi$$ out of the club, the fans and the team and your punishment will be the captains armband, what a total joke.
I wonder how Kane feels? Playing up front banging in goals, the crowd loving him and in what is our biggest game so far this season that worthless pi$$ taking mercenary plays up front with the captains armband while Kane grafts like mad for little or no reward in midfield. I know what I would be telling Poch if I were Kane.
Can you imagine that happening to you at work? Grafting away as conscientious as can be to walk in and find the guy who is always late, does sweet FA, phones in sick every other day of the week gets promoted above you. Yeah right great management Poch, in your pathetic efforts to get Adebayor onside you run the risk of upsetting every other decent pro we have at the club.
Then we have that outstanding team selection. Every football fan in the country knew that Utd would end up with a ten man defence and Poch picks a team with virtually no width and we end up trying to plough straight down the centre of the pitch.
For me the jury is no longer out IMO Poch is an extremely average coach and I dont give a damn that we are still in 3 cups and have a fairly respectable league position. I consider thats despite him rather than because of him. Our last 3 games we have been pathetic. Palace, Sunderland and tonight and tactics and team selection have been the reason in all 3 games IMO.
Yes I will get flamed for this and I really dont care good managers have a positive impact. Take a look at Southampton, sold the heart of their team but are above us in the league and look a far better side than we do with lesser players. Thats good management and coaching.
What do we have? Some good players (when played where they should play) and a coach that bumbles from one disastrous performance to another. What a total waste of space.
Yes I still expect us to go through but I dont expect us to be made to look a shambles by a team 2 leagues below us at our own ground.
Mind you I suppose I should be used to it after most of our home performances this season most crap sides visit and make us look like a total waste of space.
I wonder what Saturday will bring maybe BAE recalled as vice captain or some other pathetic management decision.

I dont care if he is the most popular man in the world as a footballer he is crap I dont need the internet or newspapers to tell me that all I have to do is watch him play

we don't have anyone at the club who is a "great captain" therefore whats the fuss.
if we had roy keane and gave the armband to kyle walker then obviously that is an issue.

It was a very very good win altho I have not watched it yet but I suggest you read the article again.
I criticised his morales for picking Ade as captain and maybe you have not noticed but all the victories in the world wont affect his moral standing.
I know its a bit difficult for you to understand so trying taking it one step at a time

BTW did you notice something else?
I criticised Poch for playing Ade and making him captain particularly as Kane had been banging in goals all over the place playing up front.
Take note sunshine Kane up front and another two goals banged in and Ade nowhere near the pitch.
Who was the mug then Poch for playing Ade or me as we have scored 5 goals in two games without Ade?
