Rotherham 4-2 Bolton

Rotherham have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match with Bolton but midfielder Lee Frecklington (hernia) could miss out again.

Defenders Richard Wood (knee) and Kirk Broadfoot (collar bone) could return from injury as Rotherham go in search of a first win in five games.

Bolton goalkeeper Andy Lonergan could come back in to the side despite Adam Bogdan's performance in the FA Cup.

Craig Davies (hernia) and midfielder Lee Chung-yong (shin) both miss out.

A better captain than Spearing

I'd probably suggest we've timed the comeback too late.

Oh Bolton you big teasers.

Matt Mills centre forward v Wolves

So some major improvements to be made for the weekend.

This will hopefully give them a quick kick up the backside in terms of being complacent.

It's a bad night in some ways but still some good signs in that we scored twice away from home.

This is a wake up call not a crisis and I'm sure Neil will be taking steps to ensure that tonight's mistakes whatever they may have been are corrected starting tomorrow morning. I didn't see or hear anything about the game as I was working and only got home from work about ten minutes ago so what went wrong guys?

Small margins. Feeney missed a sitter, should have had 2 penalties, lonergan gifted the 2nd, trotter gave away the 4th. Could have won it. Lessons learned. Bogdan should be undisputed no.1 no question. Lonergan poor, kicking and distribution poor. Play 4 at the back not 3. Looked better balanced with vela rb. Feeney miles better up front with mills rather than stuck on the right.

Thank you benny. That tracks with what the ssn report says so I guess they got it right for once.

The Bogdan v Lonergan debate rolls on. Personally I think they're both decent enough. They do seem to have an annoying tendency to lose form just when we can afford that least. Until recently Lonergan held the shirt on merit but now Adam has it and I can't really understand why Bogdan didn't play last night. Is he injured?

For my money goalkeepers shouldn't be rotated. The man in form should keep the shirt until it's taken from him on merit or by injury.

I agree with that lpp, although I would add that I have no problem with rotating 'keepers for cup games as Lennon did at the weekend, if only because it helps to keep your back-up relatively match sharp.
