I Can't Stop Making Comparisons

You know …. I can’t stop making Derby v Forest comparisons. These Boards and Forest’s. Ours are cheerful and optimistic. Theirs are steeped in misery and resentment. Our crowds v theirs. Our owners v theirs. Our goals quantity FOR and AGAINST v theirs. Our transfer window v theirs. Our manager’s v theirs in recent years. Our management strategy v theirs. Our game tactics v theirs. The patience of our owners and fans (with the exception of a small, out of step minority) v theirs. Our CEO v theirs, Our backroom staff v theirs.

In almost all features of a football team’s existence Derby’s situation is infinitely superior to Forest’s. We truly have a lot to be very thankful for.

Thanks…GSE, thanks Nigel, thanks Sam Rush, thanks Steve McCl, thanks Simmo, thanks Eric Steele and thanks fans everywhere. If I’ve missed anybody it is purely by accident.

I don't forget Forest's illustrious past when making these comparisons and one day I think they will return to some good times.

Forest should just concentrate now on avoiding relegation and get fully behind your new manager and the team if not your nice but naive and foolish owner.

As apposed to your boy citing the modern-day relevance of Nottingham Forest because of something that happened 'only' 35 years ago?

It might get squeaky and a bit burny, but I still would.

I'd stay away from TC Harrison if I were you, Ramdini

Thanks 666. I was once smart but now old age has taken its toll. I'd appreciate it if you could explain (gently please) why I should stay away from TCH?

That was their jingle for years and years: "There's no comparison, at TC Harrison"

I have no advice either way on the quality of their service

Is that because they only stocked one Ford Fiesta?

Some sort of communist initiative to prevent the development of class hierarchy and defining oneself by reference to others?

2 Wellies would love all that

Thank you 666. At last I understand.
