Surely we must win this one. Cheltenham are on an atrocious run and staring at the trapdoor. Just 1 win in 14 in the league (drawn 4, lost 9).
I remember when there was talk of Buckle being a contender for our managerial vacancy. He hasn't been very good at Cheltenham so far.
I hope that Ivan Calero is on from the start - perhaps a 4-4-1-1 line up with him being the one behind Beavon as the lone striker. Blyth drops out.
Anyway, this is a bonus points game because we haven't had one for a while. You get 2 points for correctly predicting the first Brewers goalscorer and in a moment of generosity I will state that this becomes 3 points if that player grabs more than one goal. A hat-trick for that player is worth 5 points.
If you predict that we won't score and that there will be no first goalscorer and this materialises, that is worth 2 points.
Unless Don Touched My Boots does appear pre-match from his holiday destination, I will ask my missus to predict his goalscorer. As usual I will ask her for a number between 1 and 50 and that shirt number will be the first goalscorer.

Remember our last visit to Whaddon Road at the start of last season. The BBC announced the score as 3-2 to the Brewers - even though it had finished 2-2!
Time to right the wrong, so 3-2 to the boys today. Ivan Calero to be a sensation, but with the race to be top scorer opened up after Macca's departure, the outsider on the rails has to be 'golden boots' Phil Edwards to score first

Being optimistic, though Cheltenham could be a tricky one and am predicting a 2-1 win for the Albion with Akins to score first.

I think we will win 3-1 and Beavon will score the first. I also think he will get another with Calero bagging the other one.

I forgot to add to my earlier post, my missus chose '28' as the first goalscorer for Don Touched My Boots which would have been Lenihan. Or Slade. Or Harness.
