Most overrated current cricketers

Who do you feel are the most overrated cricketers from each country?

I am not talking about players that are known to disappoint, I am talking about players that have been rated very high, but you don't really rate them.

England - Stuart Broad - Wants to be the aggressive one, but lacks pace. Does bowl very good spells, but I've never felt he was the future of English cricket or leader of the attack.

Australia - Mitchell Johnson - He started his career well, but was exposed around 4 years back and really struggled with his action when his bowling was attacked. He has improved recently, but I really feel that if he plays a good team on form, he will get found out again .

West Indies - Shivnarine Chanderpaul - Statistics can often be very misleading. On numerous occasions, he has been batting with the tail and taken singles off the first or second ball, exposing the tail-ender and not really moving the scoreboad, he ends with a * and a great average, but the team doesn't benefit.

Pakistan - Misbah-Ul-Haq - Another with a very good record, but he scores at a very pedestrian pace (especially in ODIs) and seems to only hit when it's a lost cause and the pressure is off. This puts pressure on the batsman at the other end and very often they lose their wicket as the required rate is increasing to around 10 an over in the middle overs and they get themselves out

Sri Lanka - Angelo Matthews - This all-rounder doesn't seem to be very effective under pressure with bat or ball, but seems to stay in the team because he adds balance to the team.

India - Shikar Dhawan - Good opening batsman when conditions are easy, but when facing quality bowling in tough conditions, he often gets out early.

South Africa - Mourne Morkel - Has always threatened to be a top qulaity pace bowler, but when you need to go to bowler, he often goes missing.

New Zealand - Daniel Vettori - A tidy bowler and useful batsman, but seems to be happy to bowl 10 economical overs rather than get crucial wickets.

For england - mirgan is way too overated.
For WI i think gayle has to be up there. Cant remember the last time he played a meaningful knock against a good team in odis and tests. He is actually only perfirmed in ipl and that also against indian bowlers that have never played ranji cricket.

Aus - watson

pak - i think umar akmal.

India- rohit sharma. Had so much talent but never pergorms when it matters. Big let down in tests.

Completely agree with malinga. Also jayawardene, his overall ODI record isn't as great it could / should be

Who is rating them? Where are their current ratings? If I may have their ratings first, I can then give my thoughts on whether they are properly rated, overrated, or underrated.

Rated by commentators, pundits, people on this board. It's a simple question, no need to over-complicate it.

Is Misba being overrated in ODI cricket by commentators, pundits or people on this board?

From what I read here, all fans of his team seem to be blaming him for messing up run chases.

Broad: Bowled faster than others in his team in this tournament.

Mitch Johnson: Blow-hot blow-cold type of bowler. On his day, he can change the tide in minutes.

Chanderpaul: No longer plays ODIs.

Misba: Misfit for ODIs.

Angelo Mathews: Very good allrounder. Done very well in the recent years.

Dhawan: Mostly fails. Agree he is overrated.

Morkel: Valuable bowler.

Vettori: His role in ODIs is to keep things tidy. When Southee was getting slaughtered by Warner and Finch in his first spell, Vettori immediately controlled the match for NZ. In test cricket, I wish he had a better strike rate. In ODIs, I am not questioning his value.

Many people have called Chanderpaul and Misbah Lone Rangers working hard for the team but have not had support, many commentators have said this. I have found their batting selfish. Didn't realise Chanders don't play ODIs but he played an awful innings in the last ODI World Cup quarter final.
