Guys AS we all know Ab Devilliers is great to watch as a batman. He is one of most dynamic batsmen of modern cricket. But why some of people are over rating him. For example one of my friends text me that he is even better than sachin tendulkar. How can he compare him with sachin as he hasnt yet performed on the biggest stage of world cup. He hasnt faced much of the great bowlers that sachin faced. My friend was angry about the ranking that cricinfo released 2 days ago.

de Villiers is an excellent batsman, probably the best player there currently is. However, as Kash said, he needs to do someone on the big stage i.e. in finals, knockout stages, etc. The group match against pakistan was a perfect example.

If performing on the big stage is the most important measure of quality, Pakstan must feel disappointed with their 0-6 record vs their mainland rivals.
