1 player from each team you expected would have performed better:
1. Australia - Warner. Has had one good knock of 178 against UAE but done nothing since. Next highest score of 34.
2. New Zealand - Williamson. Was in great form leading into the world cup but has yet to hit a half century. Admittedly, has not had to do a great deal of batting.
3. Sri Lanka - Jayawardane. One century, second highest score of 19.
4. India - Rohit Sharma. Also in good form leading up to the world cup. Has not performed to potential with only 1 half century against Ireland.
5. South Africa - Steyn. Expected him to be tearing through lineups, particularly the minnows. 9 wickets in 6 games, not really what you'd expect from him,
6. Pakistan - Afridi. Mainly in the team for his bowling which has been below par. Not only not taking wickets, but also not really economical. Batting leaves a lot to be desired.
7. England -
8. West Indies - Gayle. Again, one good knock against minnows. Been rubbish in all the other games.

On Williamson, he hasn't done much batting and to call him flop is very harsh.
As for Afridi, hasn't his whole career been a flop?
