Get the whites back out

So for you Tommy, the world cup is over. Great, now we can start concentrating on tests again. The ODI disaster needs to be acted upon but let's face it, the ECB moves slowly if at all so bring on the Windies.

Firstly I think people are overreacting to how the ODI's affect our test chances. I think we have a fighting chance against WI/NZ. The top of the world Aussies? Well that is a bit of a stretch but I'll come to that later.

Most of the test team picks itself. I don't think Robson will be partnering Cook so plenty of opportunity for some fresh talent. From the 5th test against India – Ballance, Bell, Root, Moeen, Buttler look settled. Bowlers I don't know. Can we run with either or both of Anderson and Broad? Maybe let them know this is their last summer, go for it.

Now the residents of “mouth" island. We know what to expect. Batsmen looking to push the score along, bowlers sending down 2-3 bouncers every over (groundsmen take note) and 100% effort in the field. Deal with it England.

We were ambushed in Australia and our own vanity could not recognise this. The Aussies were keyed up for a fight and they used every asset they could muster (crowds, pitches, media). If I were in charge of England I would be telling the players that every day. 5-0. Humiliated. Each player made to look a total dope. The end of KP's career, Trott was affected mentally. Swann ran away.

Can England dish it out? I am sure the Aussies are better at copping it. Will England dish it out? I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

It's okay, I'll take my tablets now nurse

I don't think Robson is up to it but at least he was the only opening batsman to score a test century. When was the last time Cook scored a test century? Let alone an international hundred.

Pietersen not in our plans say England, ah big babies want to keep their ball.

I wish the guy all the best but I'm doubtful about the return of Trott particularly when it comes to quality fast bowling.
