Interesting comments from Pearson being quoted this morning - the headline statement being "I would not be at Leicester if I didn't think we could stay in the Premier League".
While its encouraging to see how positive he and the team are, you could argue its a slight concern that he wouldn't stick around if he actually thought we were heading down. What happens if relegation is confirmed in the next few weeks? Does he have the appetite for the championship? We simply don't know yet but that statement could indicate that he may not.
Should Pearson leave of his own accord if the club get relegated it would be a poor outcome, given the fact we could have fired him in November and got Pulis who would have been a much better bet for survival. It would effectively mean that the owners hesitation in pulling the trigger would have made no difference in terms of stability for next season and would prove to have been a very bad decision.
My personal view is that NP may actually take the opportunity to move on, not just on the back of this statement, I've been thinking about it for a while. He's now in his 50's, he wants to manage in the premier league and a dogfight back in the championship would probably not appeal.
Again - all speculation, but thats what forums are for.
Pearson on staying at Leicester

Over the course of this season we have played just about every formation there is. We have given just about everyone in the squad a chance (some have had more chances than others) but one thing still remains constant, we can't win, we can't score goals and the decision making in the final third is shocking. So I don't think it makes much differance who plays and who the substitutions are none of them are quite good in the last third.
If we keep most of the squad together though we will have a very good Championship side.

Agree Somebody. You've nailed the point I've been trying to make with that post...

We haven't given Albrighton a chance at all, nor Knockeart. Powell wasn't given a chance although I get why. Hamer you could argue should never have been dropped....
There have been baffling subs throughout the season, we've seen Vardy on the wing and up front on his own, we've seen no tightening up on set pieces despite it being obvious it's a weak point, that comes down to coaching. We've seen Morgan being played at the expense of Wasi who outperformed him.
These are bad management calls from someone who is hopelessly out of his depth

Knockaert has been given his chance and on no occasion has he taken it.
Albrighton and Pearson clearly don't get on - we should offload one in the summer otherwise it's a pointless waste of wages!

Knocky was given one game. When drafted in for Mahrez more recently alongside Albrighton he was excellent. Not saying he is prem level but a better choice than Lawrence.
Seen the Burnley result?

Better. We had no fight in us today - that is what was so disappointing.
