Are we playing 5-3-2!?!

I'm chuffed with the results moggas been getting, and hope the run gets longer v's Coventry, but as the title suggests, I want to talk about our formation.

I live down south so seldom get to games and the football league show doesn't do 'in depth' so I've been left guessing a little.

What I have noticed from our team sheets is that of late we've been playing no wingers, two fullbacks, three centre mids and three centre halves - although Bates and Williams can play elsewhere, so are we playing 5-3-2 (a system I thought went out with Glen Hoddle and spandex) or what?

I ask as I particularly hate playing 5-3-2 in sunday league and assosiate it with abortive brainwaves by hungover managers, Is it time I reconsidered?

For a team thats playing well there are lots of empty seats at the Riverside

For a team thats in a city, and for a team that has spent alot of money this season, you also have alot of empty seats at the walkers, 23808 at your game your capacity is about 32500!

We seemed to be playing more 5 4 1 on saturday as we only had one striker and used robson to try and support emnes, the problem with this system is it requires a consistent work ethic and i think we tired in the second half and got sloppy, however i do like how we are using bennett and hoyte to give us width i think they just need to get use to the system maybe
