Sheffield Wednesday v Huddersfield Town
Sat 4 April 2015 15:00 Hillsborough
Here we go again after the international break, didn't Harry Kane do well!
We have a local derby to look forward to, Sheffield Wednesday versus Huddersfield Town. Will the Owls claw a victory, or will the Terriers hunt them down? Town need to end the season with some consistency, but I can't see that happening. However, Wednesday's form is below par too, LWDLW, giving them seven points from the month of March. Town have not been at the races of late and March proved to be a difficult month, LLDDL, two measly points from five matches is, how can I put it...rubbish!
So, where do both clubs go from here? The Owls have signed Southampton winger Lloyd Isgrove on loan until the season end. Town are trying to shore up the defence with the Manchester United youngster Reece James. Quite reflective of both clubs, Wednesday have struggled to get the ball in the back of the net, whereas Town have struggled to keep teams from scoring. In all honesty, in my opinion, both clubs have nothing to play for. Wednesday won't make the playoffs and Town are a reasonable distance from relegation. This match could end up another dire match for the travelling Town fans. Some Owl fans may suggest that they will get promoted as they see Town slip in to League One.
Is anyone feeling positive about this fixture? Maybe a draw between two teams that have under performed this season.
Well, I will definitely celebrating on Saturday, win, draw or lose, it's my birthday!

As good as Defoe's goal was I don't think it was a patch on Charlie Adam's yesterday. That was unbelievable.

I'd disagree with you there utg.
Adams was a shot from 60 odd yards out, it had dip and bend on it. If the keeper would have been on his line, he'd have saved it. It was a glorified pass in my opinion. Great goal though.
Defoes was outstanding technique on the volley with his weaker foot. No keeper in the world would have saved it.

I know what you're saying but love Adams' goal, just spectacular.
Are we all ready for tomorrow?

Apologies Owl - will set up a 'date' next season.
We got down for 1, but traffic and parking was already a nightmare.
Ended up parking up near Burger King (other fast food restaurants are available) not before a gentleman in a big Mercedes felt the need to sound his horn, gesticulate and swear at me trying to get into a car park. Don't think he realised the man in the little mini was actually six foot seventeen stone chap.
He was still queuing for petrol by the time me, my son and my nephew parked up and walked over to BK. His face looked like he pooed himself when I politely asked if he felt it was appropriate to swear and gesticulate when children were around, and if he felt he had achieved anything by blaring his horn just to queue for fuel! Numpty, totally no need.
I have no patience with people who have no patience!!
Anyway, the match -
crap first half, good last ten minutes. The end!!!!
Never been to Hillsborough and without sounding daft, it's the first time I have seen 'the' tunnel. Hairs on the back of the neck stuff just stood looking down to the pitch, very very sad.
I found that programme shop near the ground and he has some lovely items in there. Obviously, the majority are Wednesday items, but also had some really old programmes. There was a Town v Wednesday programme from 34/35 season for £75. All his items were in mint condition. A proper football fans collection from over the years.
Let's see what Monday brings with the Tractor Boyzz
Happy Easter one and all

Hi Bingley. sorry you didn't make it to the pub - your 'pre-match' entertainment sounded better than the game
One of my wishes for our ground is that the Leppings Lane stand is demolished and that end of the ground completely modernised. We can never forget what happened and it would be a tribute to the 96
We're at Norwich tomorrow - good luck v Ipswich and for the rest of the season

Don't panic, normal services will resume shortly. In other words, Ipswich thread up soon. Just got back from our little trip north.
