MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
Arsenal have only lost one of their last seven league and cup games against Liverpool (W4, D2) - with that defeat a 5-1 thrashing at Anfield in February 2014.
The Reds have won just one of their last 18 matches away to the Gunners in all competitions (D7, L10). Their solitary victory in that sequence was by 2-0 at the Emirates in August 2011.
This game has produced five Premier League hat-tricks - more than any other fixture.

Arsenal
The Gunners have only won one of their last 11 home league games against sides in the current top five (Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool), drawing seven of those matches and losing three.
Arsene Wenger's side have won 14 of 16 games since New Year's Day, including nine wins from 10 league matches.
They have won eight consecutive home league games. It is their longest winning streak since moving to the Emirates and their best overall since a 13-match run in 2005.
Arsenal have scored in all 22 of their league and cup games at the Emirates this season.

Liverpool
Liverpool can set a club record by keeping a clean sheet in a seventh consecutive top-flight away match. Their current six-match streak equals sequences recorded in 1966 and 1972.
The Reds have claimed 26 Premier League points in 2015 - only Arsenal, with 27, have a better record.
Defeat to Manchester United was their first loss in 14 league games (W10, D3).

Reckon top 4 could be gone now

It's looking increasingly less likely. Last season was a momentary blip, this season we are back to where we, based on the club profile and investment, in all fairness should be.

Oh man, suddenly missing the match for family lunch doesn't seem so bad after all, what happened... Tough one to take.

Arsenal started like a train Neo, we could have been 2-0 down after 5 mins, Mig made two very good saves.

Then we settled, started playing our football, and Markovic hit a terrible pass when clean through. Sterling then over hit a cross to Henderson who was unmarked and would have been in as well.

Arsenal then scored, a good finish after poor defending from Moreno. Ozil scored a great free-kick 2 mins later and it was game over.

We were then all over the shop, 3-0 ht.

Second half as expected we restored a bit of pride, and they took it easy.

Damage was done with the 3 goals in 7 mins or whatever it was.

If we had scored first it would have been a different game, but as many times this season we are not clinical in good positions.

Arsenal were worthy winners and played very well on the attack. We had spaces and chances at 0-0 though that we shouldn't have wasted.

3 at the back doesn't work for you at all

It does, that's why we went 13 games unbeaten, reached the league cup semi and FA Cup QF.

Today we badly missed Skrtel, who has been a rock in that period.

No disgrace in losing to Arsenal. No tactics would have made any difference, we just had to score first.

Thanks righteous, seems like a bad one, as you say we are far too wasteful in the big matches particularly away from home. Skrtels been our best player for months I knew we would miss him, but not this much to be fair.

Safe to say that's the end of top 4 for us. Massively important we at least make the FA cup final now to save what's looking like ending as a poor season. If we lose in the final then so be it as they are better than us but no excuses not to reach the final. Hopefully we can rest a few for them.
