A great performance yesterday from the team. Everyone was absolutely brilliant. Kevin Stewart and Tom Naylor were the stand out performances for me. Stewart was composed on the ball, read the game well and his passing was very good. Different class. Naylor seemed to win every header, most tackles and broke up their play well.
I would have accepted a point before the start so it was not too disappointing. Conceding late is always going to hurt a bit but we can be more than happy with our late goal against Southend so you take the rough with the smooth.
What is a shame is that we had rendered Plymouth to be clueless after about an hour. They seemed to have nothing left and were totally devoid of ideas. All they could manage was a goal from a set piece to wake them up and give them hope.
With regards the run in, I must confess to being really nervous. This despite being in such a strong, commanding position. It might actually be the fear of wasting this fantastic opportunity to get promoted that makes me nervous. Where 78 points has been enough in the past, I get the feeling that 84 might be the target this year. Bury or Wycombe might implode. Then again, we have got enough quality to finish this off without worrying about the others.
Anyway, on to the league table. There were 4 correct predictions of the Plymouth result and they were 4 of the top 5 at the start of play so not much changes as a consequence. The 4 were;
- Tommatt (11th of the season)
- Don Touched My Boots (11th of the season)
- Boston Brewer (8th of the season)
- Me (6th of the season)
Well done everyone and me.

It is also worth pointing out that we are on a dreadful run of luck at the moment...but we still don't lose.
- Goals disallowed that should not have been. (Stevenage).
- Goal that should have been disallowed but wasn't. (Plymouth).
- A red card. (Southend).
- Penalties conceded. (Southend and Tranmere).
- Penalties we should have had. (Hartlepool).
Before the season is out I want to see us score a goal that should not have stood, play against 10 men, have the opposition get a decent goal chalked off and be awarded some penalties.

All in the same game would be good.
