What an amazing evening we have awaiting us. A warm spring evening, a huge crowd and we will know the results from tonight.
In my own promotion predictor run-in I had this down as a home banker. Surely this is 3 points? There is one game with some similarities that I can't erase from my memory. That warm spring evening in front of a full house against Oxford when they turned up and spoilt the occasion.
Chances are nothing will be decided on Wednesday. I am confident we will win but victories for Southend and Wycombe tonight will keep it open. A Bury - Shrewsbury draw is likely and that would be good for us.
In some respects I would like us to gain promotion at home. A big crowd and the occasion enjoyed by those who are unable to travel to away games. The Pirelli hasn't really had an occasion like that before - other than the visitors celebrating. I recall Bournemouth, Chesterfield, Gillingham and Barnet having joyful times at our ground as we trudged out politely applauding their achievement. It surely must be our turn by now !
On the other hand it would be nice to gain promotion away. I always like it when our away support increases from the usual 100-200 and it would be nice to turn the tables and celebrate promotion on someone elses ground.
With regards the bonus points on offer, you can have 3 points if you name the first Brewers goalscorer.
In a further bonus points bonanza if you correctly name that first goalscorer AND you correctly name our second goalscorer that doubles up and becomes 6 points.
If you don't think the Brewers will score and you correctly predict that you will earn 3 points.
So, if you are confident please supply a scoreline and 2 names. I am generating extra will power here !

I think that we will win 3-0.
Akins the first, Beavon the second and I will be a surprise substitute in the 90th minute and score the 3rd with an overhead kick from the halfway line.

Late scorer predictions that were wrong and too late. Note to self: Choose goalscorers who are playing.
