Massive achievement !!!

Well guys what a massive step forward for our football club and I w ould like to thank the staff employed at the club for the commitment shown.

Lets not forget Gary Rowet for the hard work he put in when Pesc left one hell of a mess and moved the club forward with his superb management.

Jimmy Hasselbaink came in with his staff tweaked a few things and bingo we are finally promoted. THANKS JIMMY.

Nigel Clough a long serving manager started all this with his patience and honesty hence we moved to our first class stadium and in my eyes deserves a lot of credit.

I would also like to thank myself for not giving me a cat in hells chance in winning the match predictor because I always predicted a negative result so the team would do the opposite.

gary rowetts input was good but towards the end of his tenure i think he was running out of ideas.whilst he does deseve credit jimmy floyd desreves the most for the way he has managed the team.i would split it 40% rowett 60% jfh.and clough took the brewers as far as he could...the blue square.he deserves no credit for what was achieved after he left.i think if albion can get the fans in there is a bright future for them.the brewers are a great club.i wish them every success and look forward to my visits to the pirrelli next season.come on you brewers

Thanks Emnez for your magnanimous gesture - it clearly worked well!

I agree - Nigel Clough, Gary Rowett, and Jimmy have all played a significant role in us getting to where we are today. Let's not also forget Ben Robinson: his obvious love for the club, his vision, and his business acumen have also played a massive part. Thanks to all.

Thanks also to the players - obviously - who have done incredibly well, and shown the grit and determination we expect and admire when they pull on a Brewers shirt.

It's still hard to believe we'll be in League 1 next season, but for now let's kick-on and get 2 more victories to finish as Champions. Emnez, it's down to you...

UTB!!!

I also spotted your gesture Emnez and realised why you did it. That's really taking one for the team.

During games if we are not doing well I generally change places. Therefore I also take some credit for our success.

You know what, time is a great healer. I wanted Pesch out at the end as he had taken the club as far as he could. However, nowadays I would give him more credit than I perhaps might have done a couple of years ago. The squad he inherited was not the best. We finished 13th in our first seasonand scored more goals than 4 of the top 7 (and conceded as many as Grimsby who were relegated). The next season was a bit scary and his final ½ year or so was just as bad.

The point is he kept us in the league in that difficult first year. I see the Cambridge manager today is calling on fans to be grateful to the players for achieving safety (18th place) in their first year back.

As for gratitude elsewhere, I think JFH is an absolute legend. His tactics, signings, football style, man management, results and influence at the club have been absolutely first class. The football that we play at present is brilliant.

Immense credit to Ben Robinson of course. Nearly every decision he makes for the club is the right one. The appointment of Jimmy was one of his best.

Perhaps we should also acknowledge another person. David Oldfield.

Yes I have a routine for every home game.

Sausage 2 eggs tomatoes and a pot of tea at noon. Then at 1 o clock I go and have a close shave and lay my scarf hat and Albion coat on the bed.

At 14.10 I walk down to the Co-op stand outside there until 14.30.As you know I have a season in the north stand so I take a steady walk making sure I do a complete lap of the stadium. Then I enter the ground at aprox 14.40 and have a chat in the bar with some of the lads.

You can call me a nutter if you like but its been something ive done for three seasons now and I don't intend to stop.

Anyone else got a routine ??

I drive my car to Wetmore Road. I park as far as I possibly can down that road - as close as possible to the ground. This forces me to walk back a fair distance to the Wetmore Fish Bar. That means that my pre-match meal purchased there becomes calorie neutral.

I always have a cigarette pre-match and I always have one at half time as well - whether I want either or not.

Another massive achievement is our points tally. It looks like 85 and possibly more will clinch promotion this season. That is an enormous amount of points to have to get. The fact that we have been promoted already is incredible. (The Championship also requires an absurd number of points for automatic promotion this year).

And looking at the league 2 table, only 9 clubs have a positive goal difference

Imagine if it is 85 points for automatic promotion this year and we had ended up on 84. We would have been gutted to get an amount that normally would guarantee automatic promotion. Of course Southend, Bury and Wycombe will feel that pain. However, each has played at a higher level recently so it is our turn.

Wycombe have done extremely well. They stayed in the football league on the last day of last season.

What a relief we are finally up ! i think it feels all the better after the heartache of the last two seasons . I must confess i was unsure when JFH was apointed ,his first few interviews didnt make me feel any more confident ,but i take my hat off to him for getting our team performing the way he has , this must rate as the best Albion squad ever , as for next season , it will be tough and a shock when we are facing teams with on paper, a pedigree far higher than ourselves ,but i think we will stay up providing the neucleus of this side remain at the Pirelli . As for winning the league , i said from day one Shrewsbury would be my favourites ,but who would bet against us now ,my dream for saturday would be a win at home and for the Shrews to only manage a point away at Cheltenham .thus lifting the league title .
