Ferrari refuse to renew Kimmi's contract

Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene says they won't offer him a new deal. Arrivabene is quoted as saying "We are very clear, I repeat again: I said to Kimi, 'Look, it depends on your performance'. It seems that Ferrari are now becoming aware that Raikkonen just does not cut it in Formula1. Teams are no longer going to be tricked by drivers of Raikkonen and Button's ilk, they don't have the luxury of taking on board freeloaders in this tough economic climate.

Please stop.
Of course different drivers bring different skills sets to any team, and of course, some are outstanding, but you really are clueless if you deny the fact that last years Mercedes in the hands of Button and Kimi, would not have finished 1, 2, which was my original assertion, and was based on the fact, that was the outstanding car, and has been acclaimed as one of the best f1 cars in recent years.
You talk about Red Bull engines letting go all over the shop in 2010, no such thing.
No point referencing Mercedes 2013 in comparison to Red Bull 2010, in terms of pole positons, due to the fact the RB6 had all those poles, and won the championship.
The Mercedes was beaten recently under a set of circumstances and race conditions, that suited that Ferrari, albeit they have improved no doubt, but wont get a sniff at the title this season.

Minuscule does go a long way to showing your understanding of this sport, so ditto, please stop embarrassing yourself.

You have no clue how the 2009 or 2010 seasons panned out so I'm not sure what you are debating.

I have given you multiple examples when the outstanding car did not win the championship

The fact you do not know this is your problem not mine

You made the point about poles which is why I brought up 2013.

2009 redbull class of the field, unreliability caused them both championships

2010 Ferrari had the best race car redbull had the fastest over a lap. A botched pitstop is why alonso was not the champion.

2012 mclaren had the best car redbull won the title.

You have not debated 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008

You have no clue, none whatsoever.

No knowledgeable f1 fan will make the statement that you made about best car always win. It is a stupid argument

===================================

I think youll find its actually logic you cannot argue with.
The winning car over the season, the best car, is the outstanding performer, because it won the championship.
If there were a better car, in terms of speed, reliability, etc, that would have won.
How exactly can you argue with that ?
You really are a tool.
'No knowledgable f1 fan', please.
I have been following f1 for over 25 years, it seems you are obviously still stuck in the romantic phase, where a driver can make all the difference, well wake up soft lad, if those days ever existed, then they are long gone.
The sport is dominated by innovation, which I suppose has always been the case, obviously money, and the undeniable fact, that if your not in the right car, you could be the second coming of Fangio, and yet you would still be propping up the rear of the field.
Obviously, drivers show promise if they come through the ranks of smaller teams, and get more from their car than expected, then move on to a bigger team, others are groomed from an early age, but irrespective of how they get there, they are winning nothing without being behind the wheel of that seasons best car.
Knowledgeable F1 fan.
lets take it a little further in fact.
I would say there are at least 9 maybe even 10 drivers currently in f1, who could have taken the seats of Hamilton and Rosberg last season, and still won the F1 world Championship, and if you feel you can argue against that, then you really haven't the first clue about the sport you purport to be so knowledgeable about .

Schumacher won the 1995 WDC in an inferior car.

Irish, the poor soul does not know what he is speaking about

I gave him a list, you can argue about the 2010 redbull but I do not understand how a car that blows up constantly can be considered outstanding.

Kimi Raikonnen can tell you stories about a car blowing up preventing him from being a double world champion.

If we are talking about 2005 then Kimi was extremely unlucky. The car's reliability cost him the title that year surely.

Tbh I think Kimi has shown enough already this season that he's still got it.
