A deserved win in the first leg. Great free-kick by Smith and a second goal from Shiels who I don't remember ever heading the ball before!
No room for complacency in the second game though. So should we go with the same team selection?
So far so good in the play-offs

Delia was brought in to be the assistant so I doubt that is a good strat to follow
I'm not sure who we should get
Let's see where we are playing before deciding

Has delia won any matches that Celtic were not expected to win, I know he has lost matches he was expected to win

Glad we won yesterday, as I am after every rangers win, however I'm pretty indifferent whether we go up or not.
If we stay down then, yes mccall should get a season to rebuild. I'd imagine he'd target players from the lower leagues in England and players he's worked with before (I always quite liked that ojamma (sp?) he had at Motherwell twic) On 1/2year deals, so they are easy enough to get rid of if they aren't good enough for the top flight. Mixed in with the best of what we have left.
If we go up I think we should consider our options, as we will have to completely rebuild the team

Who ever is in charge next season will have very little time to rebuild the squad and then settle them down into a team

I really don't want to stay in this league for another year and financially it would benefit us to go up.

Laudrup basically explained why I wouldn't mind staying down, feels weird though since the default is to want to win every game.

We should be choosing the best person available for the job regardless of whether we go up or not. Of course McCall should have a chance, particularly if we go up, but I hope we don't go for him as the easy choice or through a feeling of being obliged.
If McCall gets us up but doesn't get the job, then he will still be better off than before he took the role. He should be in a far better position to get another job.
Get the right person/team in to build a better future for Rangers on the park. That should be the only consideration.

nothing is a giving, but we have won our one horse race. Rangers came third in what it should of been their one horse race
