Begging bowl around Europe

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/584795/Liverpool-transfer-News-Mateo-Kovacic-Mario-Balotelli-Inter-Milan

That's where it's at for us this summer. Trying to fob off our awful signings like Balotelli to try and bridge the gap in finances to sign Kovacic. Now we have another protracted transfer saga that will probably end up going on all summer.

I thought it was bad last summer with the hapless Ian Ayer and the FSG clown brigade degrading the club in one summer with over 100 million pîssed up the wall. But this time they are going one step further.

Can't they see the dross that we don't want carries no monetary value? How much in total would you make selling Balotelli, Lovren and Markovic now for example?

We need signings that have the quality to get us challenging for the title, at the moment it's the bargain bucket buys and trade ins that are the order of the day from a once great club.

Absolutely abysmal. Time for our owners to pass the club onto someone who can make good on their promises.

FSG out!

actually what you described no one has been able to do

every club bar the big 2 in Spain lose out when bigger clubs with better prospects come sniffing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Then maybe its time to it. We need to make our club, a club that players want to play for again. If it means bringing in a top manager then so be it. Half of the world's players would play for Mourinho wherever he was managing. He is a proven winner, gets 110% out of every player he manages and everyone buys into his methods and goals. I can't see this happening under Rodgers.

Failing that, bringing local lads through the academy who have both the desire to stay and play for Liverpool and have the talent to play at the top level. I don't imagine players like Flanno and Rossiter would ever want to leave their boyhood club regardless of who came calling. So the emphasis is to recruit better scouts and youth coaches to make this a reality.

the sharticle got worse, somehow..

now its all dreams and pixie dust about convincing players when signing that they can never leave us.

Its an article about inability to apportion blame, why wasnt anfield expanded 30 years ago in line with old trafford?

Its a cry for someone who is willing to come in, blow a load of their own money on players and never see a return i.e. roman/mansour, so much for the liverpool way

its an article about how we dont produce enough youth, yet we have had several come through the ranks in recent years, and have several propsects, but somehow fault gets picked with that too.. i.e. they werent here long enough, yet the step up between 16-21 is the hardest there is and weve coached a few through that, to first teams in the PL.

and at the same time, there is a cry for better youth scouts

this article is pathetic, it all boils down to:

we had a bad season, and i dont like it

Imagine ARE could have been on JA606 when we missed out on Michael Laudrup cos we wanted him to sign a 4 year deal instead of a 3 year deal.
