If England want to play four bowlers...

WHY PLAY BROAD??!

He is clearly not one of the best three seamers in the country based on his overall career record and his recent form. As far as a contest between Broad/Tremlett or Broad/Finn, there really is no comparison.

Obviously Anderson and Swann are automatic picks and there is a contest for the final two bowling spots between:

Bresnan,

Broad,

Dernbach,

Finn,

Onions,

Shahzad,

Tremlett,

Woakes.

I seriously do not see how Broad is one of the top two of these performers in test cricket with his short pitched, erratic bowling. A World Class ODI bowler indeed but he doesn't deserve to be in the test team for England in my opinion if England are reluctant to go in with 5 bowlers. He has a bowling average of 36 and averages less than 3 wickets per match!!

I think england should stick with broad for the forseeable future I think he's the man with the most potential and as impressive of that list is most of them are potentially good and by no means the finished article - for me Broad for now

i think england should rotate their fast bowlers,,,it seems to get the best out of the bowlers and remember ENGLAND at the moment is the only team that can afford to rotate its fast bowler still having a potent attack with whomever they choose......it will also keep the bowlers refreshed in these days of hectic schedules ......any thoughts?

I also think that Tremlett is an automatic choice at the moment.

I think Indiasox is right.

Several of our bowlers are injured at present so the choice is limited, that's why Dernbach was in the squad.
Rotation reqires that all bowlers are equally as good as one another, this not the case.
