Next season's fixtures...

...are out today and I note that the Brewers will be hosting my lads on Saturday 28 December. I think it could prove to be an entertaining holiday fixture and I hope it draws a good crowd. The Brewers are currently 4th in the League 1 table on the BBC website which is good going (OK, it's only on alphabet at the moment which is just as well as Swindon are in 22nd place).

I can see the Brewers doing well next season, promoted sides have both a winning mentality and habit which stands them in good stead. In contrast I am still in recovery from my team's dismal performance against Preston in the play off final. The last time we lost a play off final at Wembley we were relegated the following season. That's football for you. I'm predicting top 6 for the Brewers and mid table for Swindon providing we can replace the hordes of players who have left/are leaving.

You have probably realised that I'm finding the close season hard going and only need the slightest excuse to post something on here. I hope you're all having a good summer, not long until 8th August and your opening game against the Iron which will be some occasion.
